Beta #2 (BFP mentioned) Questions (UPDATE beta #3)

Hi everyone.

My beta #2 went up from 209 to 302.

My Progesterone went from 62 to 92.

They want me to come in again on Monday to see if the HCG catches up. They said they weren't alarmed but are just watching the numbers. Ideally it should have doubled. This DOES alarm me though. Trying to keep my BP down. Any words of wisdom?

UPDATE: My 3rd beta came back at 1222! yeah! It needed to be 1208 so I am so happy! My ultrasound is set for 2/17/14 to check for a heartbeat. There IS hope and I am crying, and trembling as I write this. So relieved....

so sorry you are worrying... I have no words of wisdom for you as I have no sucess story to share. Beta's are so stressful and Beta limbo is like no other stress. Anything is possible though...maybe your embie is just starting off a bit slow. FX that you get a great beta on Monday and that this is your take home baby

I have no words of wisdom, but I hope your 3rd beta catches up! From your siggy, it looks like you transferred 3, right? Is it possible that more than one originally implanted, but only one is still there? I'm not positive, but I think this would mess with your hcg level.

I know it's hard...but try not to think about it!! Fill your weekend with busy work or activities. STAY OFF THE INTERNET!!! Do NOT google HCG Numbers - AT ALL!! It will just make you more tense - which is not good.

While I was at my intralipid infusion, I talked with a girl that did IVF in Barbados. She had really slow doubling betas and was only given a small chance that her pregnancy was viable. She ended up finding out that she was having twins, both of her embryos stuck!

Try not to get too discouraged, sometimes slow doubling times can still result in a viable pregnancy.

My RE only looks for 60% increase in 2 days ( I know you still aren't there, but it's better than doubling as a requirement

). However, I think I've read that only 80% of pregnancies actually follow the hcg rules of doubling. It's also possible what someone else said-maybe more than one implanted originally but now there's one. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
