first OB appt, bad news

We had our first OB appointment today.We are 8w2d but is only measuring at 6 weeks. Heartbeat was very slow and hard to find. The doctor said that chances are this pregnancy is not viable. She is checking her progesterone level, will prescribe progesterone to help out if the levels come back low... but she's pretty much prepared us for the worst. We're going back next week to see if there's any growth or a stronger heartbeat, but we're not optimistic at this point.

I see some other couples on this board are going through almost the exact thing today. T&Ps to you guys.
