Eyeball my FSH level please : ) — The Bump
TTC After a Loss

Eyeball my FSH level please : )

HI ladies!

I had the day-3 test today and got the results. While driving home from work, so I couldnt ask much. I do have an appt Tuesday for the sonohystergram, so I'll ask more, but I hoped to run the numbers by you wise ladies!

What do you think?

I'm 42

FSH 9.6

estrogen 62

L.H 4.6

Dr Google is rendering me boggled, as there is a huge range!   Thanks for looking : )

Re: Eyeball my FSH level please : )

  • My RE said that anything under 9 is ideal. He, really the nurse that calls, always gives test results with the caveat of "for your age." That always makes me fell like I am approximately 132 years old. I am 31 - 32 in March - so maybe the numbers are different for someone of your age? IDK

  • Dr Google seems to say that it's higher in over 40s, but not by how much. My nurse did say that they want to see under 10, so I got that I guess.

     Lol if you're 132 then I'm 142 : )

  • With FSH it's hard to say because it depends on the lab, there are variations in what is considered normal range so I'd just check with your Dr on Tuesday. Good luck with the SHG!

  • I'd say that sounds pretty decent IMO. I'm 32 going on 33 and my FSH and LH both have been on the rise over the years. Last I had them checked they both were around 12 even the. It wasnt a major issue. Good luck with your HSG!!

  • I'm glad you posted this. I just got my results today, the nurse only gave me the FSH number (6.8) and said it's good but didn't elaborate or provide additional information. From dr google, it sounds like under 10 is good?
