We did not receive one during our shower for LO and I was wondering if any of you love the one you got and if you could recommend one! I know we are not at the point where she can use it right now but I would like to get it soon. Thanks!
My LO physical therapist said not to get on3. She says it actually delays them from walking when they should. I know everyone recommends different things, but just giving you info I was told.

Excersaucers are supposedly better for them than jumpers, and when I had DS our pedi told us the same warning. However he said to limit time in there (as with most things). If you wanted to get one to put LO in for 20-30 min while you cook dinner or take a shower I think that would be just fine!

We used ours in the kitchen while we prepared meals, did the dishes, etc, for a few months (when DS1 was approx. 6-9 months). I'm glad we borrowed ours and are borrowing the same one for DS2. They're expensive and have limited utility. DS1 actually enjoyed going around and around the outside of his, playing with the toys, once he could pull up, more than he enjoyed sitting in it when he was younger. We did have a OneStepAhead version (without any toys) that was great for camping trips; it looked like a mini camp chair, but with leg holes cut out, so the baby could sit in it like in an Exersaucer.
Thanks everyone for the responses and info, I will talk with LO pedi to see what he says about them! And I was planning on using it so I could take a shower, make dinner, dishes and maybe a load of laundry which would only be 20-30 minutes.

@roxymatt I will have to do some research in that, I have never heard that before and I work in a pediatric hospital! Thanks for the information.
We have an exersacuer and a jumperoo and the boys actually preferred the exersacuer. I agree you can't leave them in there all day, but I don't think in short spurts it would hurt. If you only plan on one child then I'd borrow one or try a consignment store because once they start crawling they usually don't want to get in there.
We are getting this one for LO, a little more bang for your buck since the seat comes out and they can use it when they start pulling up and moving around more.
I had an evenflo saucer at my house and a fisher price jumperoo at my parents house. I wish I had the jumperoo here! He loved that thing. He loved both, but he REALLY loved jumping in the jumperoo. Plus, he outgrew the evenflo (height) months before the jumperoo. Everything in moderation, just don't leave them in there for hours and they'll be fine!
DS had a jumper not an exersaucer. We started at 3 months (had to put a box under his feet because he couldn't reach the floor lol) and he used it until he out grew the weight limit. He was more than a year old and could walk but he still liked climbing in and jumping.
