Technical question - Paragraph breaks on iPad

Does anyone know how to do paragraph breaks on an iPad? If it means typing code, that's fine. It drives me crazy to have my responses all cramped up and difficult to read. Thanks!

I've never had it work even when I do try to type the code in. <br> should give you a line break but all it ever does is just literally type <br> I haven't tried it since the upgrade though, now that I think about it.

Edit: actually, I don't know it didn't break a line here, either. It should work.
