DH and I try to play cards together instead of turning on tv a time or two each week, and I am sick of kicking his butt at rummy!  Rec your favorite card game for 2.  Bonus point for linking to easy to follow rules.

Spit is super fun. MH and I used to play all the time. We play all kinds of games, but I feel like that is one of the most competitive.

We got really into board games a few winters ago when the weather was so awful -- should probably pick that back up again, since we're going braindead from so much stupid TV.

Backgammon is a good one for two players, so is Scrabble.

Thanks for the recs ladies!  I too forgot about the joys of spit...as for Egyptian rat screw, we will try that just because the name is so fun!

Hahaha, I forgot about Bananagrams!  That was a key part of our last bad winter too.  And Appletters.  I also really like Mexican Train dominoes!

Monopoly Deal is our fav! But we liked all of the board-games-turned-card-games that we've tried so far. They have card game versions of Monopoly, Life, Scrabble, Clue, and (I think) Battleship. It takes a while to get the hang of Monopoly Deal and to learn all the tricks, but once you've got the basics down, it plays really fast! Oh, and our kids love the card version of Fruit Ninja! Haha
