Parenting after a Loss

****Healthy Living Check In****

I hope everyone had a great weekend and is keeping warm today. I feel sometimes it's a struggle when the weather is horrible, especially when you live somewhere that doesn't normally deal with harsh winters. One of the things I hope to accomplish with this check in is that you don't have to diet to make healthier choices and you don't have to be a fitness buff to be a success. Just little simple things.

-How successful were you this week with your goals?  Anything you would do differently next week.

-Any new physical activities that you can do with the LO?

-What are 2 things that get in your way of success at times?

I was pretty successful this week as far as diet goes. No salad dressing or french fries. I did splurge and eat cheese, so that's pretty bad. I also have been drinking way too much diet coke. I think next week, I'm going to aim for 3 bottles of water a day.

-Any new physical activities that you can do with the LO?

Does chasing a toddler count. Probably not, but that's the new activity. He has had me dance with him too. ;) I am hoping that we can get out to the mall one night this week, for a nice walk.

Right now I struggle with time at night (to cook healthier meals, because I'm wiped) and my DHs comments about my weight loss efforts. DH accuses me of losing weight to find someone else and then in the next hour he calls me his fat wife. So I'm a little emotionally drained.

This is easy to make and keep around your house for company. All you need is a graham cracker pie crust, 2 cups of your favorite low calorie yogurt in any flavor, and a tub of low fat Cool Whip. It's pretty easy to make. You just mix the yogurt and Cook Whip in a bowl add it to the graham cracker pie crust, cool it, and serve.
