Vicks Vapor Rub on feet?

A friend of mine told me that you can put vapor rub on a baby's feet and that will help clear up congestion.  Has anyone every heard of that?  Is there an age restriction on the baby vicks or is it ok to use at any age as long as you put it on their feet?

    Vicks makes a BabyRub that is safe for kiddos under 2 years. I put it on DS's feet a lot lately - it's good for coughs and congestion.

    Ironically enough, i just heard about this the other day and DD has her foirst cold!  :-( 

     I bought the baby Vicks today and it says that it's for babies over three months.  That's for chest and belly though, maybe if you're putting it on their feet you can use it when they're younger?
