Shower Gift - What to buy?

Hi Ladies, I know I've seen a similar question before, but I think it is kind of fun and wanted to see your responses.

A friend of mine has decided to CD her baby boy who is due soon. I offered her my newborn stash which consists of a dozen GMD NB prefolds, 6 each of GMD NB workhorses and KL0s, 3 each of Imagine and BG NB AIOs and for covers 2 each of Bummis Super Brite NB, RAR NB, Thirsties size 1, and Blueberry Mini Coveralls.

Now I'm trying to decide what to get her as a shower gift. I'm wanting to stay around $50-$60 and was thinking of getting a PW wetbag, some cloth safe diaper cream, and a diaper or two. I'd love to get her a Newborn Simplex because I see rave reviews on those, but since I know she'll already have a lot of newborn diapers to use, I'm sort of torn on whether I should get her a OS diaper instead, and if so, what should I get? I want something super cute!

I'd get her a OS diaper.  I just spent the day washing my NB stash and putting together a package for a friend of mine whose shower is next week.  I had advance notice so got a few things from Black Friday and even was lucky to get a couple of freebies/ won a diaper to add... so I got her about $100 worth of diaper gear for $50 or so. With the diapers I purchased, I went with OS because I knew she was getting my stash anyway.

Can you get samples of different CD safe cream and detergent?
BG 4.0s are pretty standard.  Most people seem to like them.  They might be a safe bet.  The two diapers I bought for her were BG 4.0 and a Swaddlebees Simplex.  Another option might be some Kawaii PNs.  They work great and even though they fit a NB, they last til about 20 lbs.  Maybe one OS diaper and one Kawaii PN?

Get a OS diaper, simplex. Super cute. Then the wetbag or pail liner. That sounds like a great gift!

I gave my sister a big hand me down stash, but I also added a new OS RaR cover and a BG 4.0 in Lovelace. I gave my cousin 2 4.0s, a pack of flannel wipes, and a medium wet bag.

I love getting fluffy gifts.

My cutest diapers are blueberry OS pockets. I'd go with one of those if you want the cute factor. I agree with at pp, though, that a BG 4.0 is a pretty safe bet. I think it's a great diaper, I just don't think it's as cute.

How fun! I wish I had friends IRL who CD also. I think he wetbag and diaper cream is a great idea.

I would definitely go with a couple OS diapers!
