I posted this early since my ER is tomorrow morning and I wanted to make sure I didn't forget about the check in.

Not much going on today.  I triggered at 10:30pm yesterday for a 10:00am retrieval tomorrow. 

QOTD: I think I would want a penguin as a pet.  No real reason except they are cute!

Hello!  I had my ER on Monday morning. On Tuesday we got a call that of the 4 mature eggs retrieved, three of them were growing. I got another call yesterday and was told that one was fragmenting so that one might be out of the running but the other two are doing good. I go in this afternoon for my ET, although I am not sure how many embryos will be transferred. I am very excited and anxious. I just want to know that my embies are still doing good.

QOTD: I would have to say a sloth Or a manatee if I had a large pool in my backyard

No real updates on me.  We are still waiting for PGD results but now are considering doing another retreival next month instead of a transfer.  Unfortunately, my RE isn't available for a follow up any sooner than 5 February.  AF showed up today so I would like to start on another cycle asap if that's what we are going to do.

QOTD: I think I'd like a tiger.

As for me I am on my second day of 'bed rest' after transfer.  I am making sure to stay hydrated and watch plenty of Netflix

QOTD:  I would want an otter.  They are so darn cute!

Update:  I just got the call from the embryologist and we have 6 that made it to freeze!  Holy moly I can't believe it!

Good morning!  Good luck to all of you that are doing retreivals and transfers soon.  Hugs to the ladies that need them. 

AFM:  No real update here... my WTF apointment went well, my RE said she does not think that there was a reason this one failed.  We talked about putting back 2, but ultimately decided on 1.  I am patiently waiting for my coordinator to email me back to see if I can do my baseline tomorrow... but the longer she does not respond the less likely I will be able to.

1 day past 5 day (frozen) transfer of 2 blasts! We just got news today that we actually have 2 more blasts frozen!! They weren't sure if any more would make it, but two did! So out of our original 6 mature eggs, 4 made it to blast! Just incredible. What a difference a new cycle and new meds make.

As for pets, I don't need anything exotic- I love my dog and three cats. If I could afford it and handle the mess, I'd have soooo many more of both.

Good afternoon Snowdrops!  FX to those going into ER and ET soon. 

In the DreadGamer house, we are just waiting out the 2ww.  Back to work for both of us after Tuesday's snow (and my enforced rest).  Of course, DreadGamer (DH) is starting to ask about symptoms.  He was so excited that I was a bit nauseated yesterday - I had to burst his bubble and tell him that given the timing, it is almost certainly due to the meds (as it was with both IUIs). 

QOTD:  Hippopotamus if we had the water for it.  Otherwise, one of the big cats (Tiger, Lion, etc).

Hey ladies! Hugs to everyone that needs them today, all of you guys are on my mind throughout the day.

We found out today that the 2 we transferred yesterday were both "good" early blastsocysts. AAANNNDDD they froze 2 of the remaining! 1 graded good, the other fair. We didn't get any frosties from our last cycle, so it has been a huge relief. To top it all off, one of my bosses told me not to come in to work for the second half of my day. She thought it would be good if I took another afternoon off. So thoughtful!

QOTD: I'd like to have a dolphin or a sea turtle, but keep it in a big body of water. After watching the documentary Blackfish, I have some issues with large animals in captivity. Who wouldn't want to show up to the beach and play with your own personal dolphin?!

Hi Snowdrops. This is such a supportive group and I just wanted to say how important you all are to me being able to get through the whole process. Great news for those in the 2WW or about to go in to ET- fingers crossed for you all. iI know others haven't had great news so big, big hugs. I did make a separate post about our FET but for those who don't know we were lucky enough to have two embryos thaw successfully for our transfer earlier this week. They originally thawed two embryos and the second lost 50% of its cells (4 cell down to 2 cell). They wanted to transfer this one with the first (which retained all of its 5 cells) but after some tears and hurried discussion with my husband I asked the embryologists to thaw our third and final embryo and then put back the two best out of the three with the hope that the embryo that wasn't transferred may still be able to be re-frozen. I'm sure that all sounds very confusing but the final embryo ended up thawing successfully so we transferred that one with the first 5 cell embryo. I asked the embryologist not to tell me how the 2 cell embryo went as I thought I would regret not putting it back in if it did grow to blast before they froze it, and would feel less hopeful about the two embryos inside if it stopped dividing. I'm not sure how I feel about this cycle. I think experience has prevented me from becoming too hopeful but deep down I want to get feel like this could happen for us.

My transfer is this afternoon!!!! I am waiting around for my call with time to arrive. So, I will sit and watch baby shows on TLC.  Update: we transferred two hatching blasts - a boy and a girl! Officially PUPO!!

I'm back from ER. We got 8 eggs and according to my RE they all looked great. I am a little disappointed that we didn't get more (we got 8 eggs last cycle as well), but right now I am holding onto hope that they are better quality.

4dp5dt here... I'm back to the land of the living after a poorly timed 24+ hour stomach bug. Ugh. Another quiet weekend ahead.

@scooteriste- No 8 is not a bad number at all. We were just hoping for more because our blast rate is really bad and my clinic only does blastocyst transfers. For IVF #1 0 out of 3 embryos made it to blast. For IVF #2 only 1 out of 5 embryos made it to blast. Right now we are hoping that even though we got the same number of eggs, that we end up with more embryos and hopefully more blasts.

Now is the hard part for me, waiting for updates.  We'll get a call tomorrow letting us know how many were mature and how many were fertilized and another call on Monday to let us know how the embryos are doing.  Then we hopefully won't hear anything until our transfer on Wednesday.  They only call on Wednesday if they need to cancel your transfer or push it back to day 6.

ETA @scooteriste sorry to hear about the stomach bug.  That sucks and I hope you are feeling Better!

I am still in my 2ww and will test on Tuesday at the lab.  I have had a heavy, bloated feeling and lots of twinges, cramping in the last 48 hours especially.  I was exhausted yesterday and almost fell asleep before my PIO shot as I was so cold and tired from work.  I keep checking each time I go to the bathroom.  To be honest, it feels like you need to go to the bathroom and the next thing, constipation with tons of weird twinges/cramps.  Hoping these are all good signs....they could easily be the prenatal vitamins giving me constipation or a stomach bug just arriving.  Who knows!  LOL  Staying strong.....not POAS!  

QOTD.....none.  I'm not home enough to care for any pets.  LOL  It wouldn't be fair to them.

I triggered last night for my retrieval tomorrow morning.... I think I am more nervous about those PIO injections than anything.

QOTD: a baby monkey... like one that always stayed a baby. They are just the cutest things!

I'm doing ok.  Tomorrow is my beta test.  I plan to be there bright n' early.  Calls don't come until 1 and 4 p.m.  My work building has no cell phone service so I will need to wait til the close of my work day to find out.  (Good so I can share the news with my husband.  We decided to listen to the message together when I get home.)  

Patience is a virtue.....hoping I will continue to be strong and take things one day at a time.  I was getting short of breath a few times over the weekend.  Weird.  Just very tired today.
