DS will usually have one of the food pouches, an apple or banana, grilled cheese, noodles. I guess it really depends on what my dad is eating for lunch. LO has to eat whatever grandpa is eating.
The food pouches are usually at every lunch though, because I get nervous as to whether or not he is eating enough. With the food pouches I know how much he eats, he will devour it and it has a lot of vitamins in it
Anything she can feed herself, preferably with a spoon. At the moment she's getting cooked rice and lentils with a spicy tomato sauce and grated cheese. I thought it would be too spicy for her but she loves it. Leftovers, bran or carrot or banana muffins, fruit, smoothie.
Wesley gets lunch at daycare they always have a protein and a vegetable or fruit with lunch. He has had ham and potato casserole, chicken pot pie, bean and cheese burritos, bbq chicken, grilled cheese and a black bean burger which he really enjoys. They make other things as well but those are the only things I can think of off the top of my head.
Whatever protein I can do quickly. (PB&J totes counts as protein right?) I have chicken fries and fish fillets in the freezer for days that I'm at a complete loss. Usually a fruit of some kind as well.

I do what most of the girls already said so on top of that I like to make a Cheese quesadilla with some fruit on the side. I buy frozen blueberries and raspberries. Sweet potato with a little coconut oil and cinnamon for flavor. I just throw the potato in the microwave. Usually I do green beans on the side or a little grilled chicken. Cranberry sauce on a piece of sandwich bread (or jelly) and maybe some cheese. I like cowpals, it's a little circle with pieces of cheese cut like a pie.
For quick grilled chicken I cut up a whole chicken breast into smaller pieces and put them in individual freezer bags. Then when I need to cook one up it only takes a minute to defrost and throw in the pan. Also I heat up the Gerber graduates meals. They are quick and easy on a busy day.
Grapes or a veggie always at lunch. Left overs if we have them, half grilled cheese, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, pasta, & mac n cheese are our usual lunches. Midafternoon she will have an apple and mixed berry pouch or apple sauce.
Mostly leftovers from dinner before - it is easy to heat up AND provides more variety. I used to prepare his lunch every day, and I ended up getting into a rut and making him the same thing day in , day out.
If there isn't leftovers, we do grilled cheese, some veggies, deli meat, and fruit. I recently made a batch of broccoli + cheese nuggets so I've been heating them up and serve at lunch. They are a hit with DS. Yesterday I made a batch of cauliflower tots and they were less successful (I messed up the recipe). DS doesn't seem to like it as much but he did eat some. I also cooked a batch of b'nut squash pancakes and some days I heat those up for him. (all these I make a big batch and freezed them).
DS gets a fruit & yogurt smoothie about 2 hours after lunch before his 2nd nap.

Pretty much the same thing that I would feed him for dinner on any given night--tortellini, roasted chicken, turkey and cheese sandwich, pasta with tomato sauce, roasted fish--all with a side of veggies (either leftover roasted/sauteed veggies from dinner or steamed frozen veggies).
I also do a lot of leftovers from dinner. He loves Mac&Cheese, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Meatloaf Muffins, sweet potato, Taco Salad, and jambalya. If we don't have leftovers I will give him avocado and tomato and some hummus and corn chips or crackers. We also do grilled cheese, yougurt with berries or a smoothie, and apple or orange slices.
Mandarin oranges and grapes are a hit. She loves cheese and bananas but has been constipated so we cut those. Peanut butter on bread, chicken nuggets, and corn are other loves. Definitely food pouches regularly to make sure she gets some nutrients!
It varies from day to day. Usually if I'm eating something different than he is, he wants what I have over what he has. He's also getting picky on certain times...but PB&J is always a go to, on occasion I will give him some chicken nuggets. He also likes grilled cheese or cheese quesadilla. He loves the baby goldfish so I'll give him a few to keep him occupied while I make his lunch. He LOVES LOVES LOVES cottage cheese and yogurt and some days that's all he wants for lunch. It's whatever he wants. He eats like every two hours anyways
I never thought to make quesadillas before this thread. I had left over rotisserie chicken in the fridge I chopped up fine with cheese and a few drops of salsa on a small corn tortilla and she loved it! I enjoyed them too MmM thanks for the idea
