Yeast infection. Yay

Oh I have only had this once in my life and it was after 2 weeks in the hospital with strong antibiotics. Now I'm pregnant and have every classic symptom and now... Yes. A yeast infection. It is super mild. No discharge or swelling or redness just mild itchiness. Midwife says monistat 7 is safe. I am 10 weeks. I am a little skeptical. What are your experiences? Any home remedies for treatment and prevention?
