Do you think it's worth going to the theaters to see? My goal for Christmas break was to read the book and I finished it today---- just trying to decide now if DH and I should have a night out tomorrow to go see the movie.

I LOVED the books- I even reread the first one. I actually did not like the movie though at all. I thought the effects were awful and that it just wasn't as good as it should have been. It would still make a good date night though!

I absolutely hated it- so much that I can't read the book again (and I loved the book). The acting is high-school level.

Its not the greatest movie i've ever seen, but I prefer seeing things in the ?theater - if you liked the book, I would go. I thought it was fun. HTH

ps- my DH went and hated it but I enjoyed seeing it with him

I loved the books and I thought the movie was just okay but I wouldn't waste a good night out without the baby to see the movie. That's just my opinion though.

I also loved the book but the movie was just okay- and that's only because I loved the book sooo much.  It was fun as long as you are completely aware before hand that it's pretty teeny bopperish
