Just heard back from my doctor about the results of my Mat21 test. Apparently there was insufficient DNA for testing, the nurse said to come in and do another blood draw.
Anyone else had this happen? Now I am worried something is wrong
I haven't but I wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. I'd bet it might be similar to not obtaining enough urine to conclude anything and having to do another urinalysis, but that is a purely uneducated guess. It would seem they'd let you know if there appeared to be a problem. You can call and ask if there's a need for concern at this point. Keep us posted.
yeah, i think it's just an inconvenience since you'll have to wait another week or two for the results. not an indication that anything is wrong, though, just a flaw in the test
5 years TTC, no luck with IUI's, failed IVF June 2013,
FET Oct 2013 with delayed transfer, intralipids, lovenox & prednisone= first BFP of my life!
I've heard of this. What week did you have your blood drawn? Even though the labs say they can do it at 9-10 weeks, a lot of offices make you wait longer for this reason.
I made sure to ask that before we got in the way and the mat21 test us the only one if the 3 that says it works with multiples. The only thing they can't really tell is gender... All they can say is that there is a boy or there isn't

I was actually told that larger bmi's have a higher chance.
But don't worry!!' It means nothing about the baby, they just need more blood
