#2 in the underpants

It is exactly what it sounds like.  We are potty training DS and have had success w/ #1, but he will not poop on the pot.  We've tried having him "practice" on the potty and have offered stickers and lollipops (his favorite treat) as an incentive; every afternoon he loads up his underwear.  What are we doing wrong?  Please don't tell me he's not ready... his going to be 4 in 2 1/2 months!

A cousin of mine had the same problem. She made ds clean it himself. He gagged the entire time & never did it again.

I'm having the same problem with DD.  She's younger, but she'll pee on the potty, and she now tells us when she has to go, but she always poops in her underwear.  It makes me so mad!  I don't know how to change it either.

Have you tried TWO lollipops for poop and one for pee?  I did that (using Brachs chocolate stars) and it worked out well.

There was a kid in special ed at our school who had the same problem. They cut a hole in a diaper and had him sit on the potty. Maybe he felt more secure pooping in diapers? It can't hurt to try!

We used pull-ups for a while when that was going on. One day I told him it made Diego sad to get pooped on, and from then on he pooped in the potty. ?I felt bad, though, because the one or two times he did have an accident after that, he freaked out, screaming "I want Diego to be happy! ?Not sad!"?
