Last cycle cost us about $1,800 including meds, monitoring (u/s were about $178 each), and 2 IUIs. I was on clomid (for 3 days) and menopur (injections--I think for 5 days and they cost $69 for 1 vial) and did b2b IUIs (I want to say they were around $250ish including the sperm wash). The injections came from Freedom Fertility.
My last order of meds cost ins $2500. Our cost was $250. It was Menopur, Cetrotide, Progesterone, etc...it isn't cheap by a long shot. Our procedures are covered @this RE. The last two RE's it wasn't covered as well, but I doubt they did the proper authorizations ~ and I guess I'm acyually grateful they didn't ~ they weren't as thorough as this one by a long shot.
I doubt we'd be going through all the expense if it was multiplied to what the actual cost is ~ just sad.
I ordered my meds through Freedom Pharmacy. My gonal F was $1434 for 2 900iu pens, ovidrel was $44.00. My crinone would be $235 but a wonderful SAIF nestie donated some to me.
My ultrasounds are$192 and E2 is $137 each time I go in for monitoring. My IUI's are $330 each. OOP sucks!
My Follistim was about $450 per cartridge I had two so that was $900.00. Ovridril was $77.00 Prometrium was covered by insurance so that was only 15.00 (yay).
I went through IVP care, but they are located within miles of my house so that is where my RE sent me.
For the IUI I did a global pay of $1800, that included all ultrasounds, bloodwork, IUI, doctors appointments, and betas. I think I got ripped off by that though.
Good luck
Years of trying and treatment, IVF#1 brought us
