I agree... How many unpopular opinions can we go through, we've been doing them for 45+ weeks. To be honest, I was hoping someone would say something trashy so we could flame, the board is SUPER so today.
I think modern TV for the most part is lame. I watch TV land way more than any other network. Current exceptions: Big Bang Theory, History network, 19 Kids and Counting (I'm obsessed), Extreme Couponing and Finding Bigfoot.
I haven't had time to sit down and watch tv in a few weeks.

Hehehe...for the most part I agree, but I had to laugh at your exceptions. Maybe you think it sucks because of what you're been watching? This comes from someone who is also guilty of watching some of those shows, so I'm not judging, but there is some good stuff out there. I love American Horror Story, Downton Abbey, anything on HGTV, and Orange is the New Black.
I watched the whole season of Orange in 2 days! Needless to say, that was before baby K was born.
Apparently my UO is I just don't think Cumberbatch is all that. He's weird looking. Sure, I enjoy Sherlock, because Steven Moffatt can do no wrong (I'll even give him a pass on the Oliver character in Coupling) but otherwise....I don't get it.
My UO (though I'm not sure how unpopular this really is) is that I don't think kids should have a cell phone until high school, maybe in middle school, but that is depending on the circumstances. An 8 year old walking around with her own iPhone?! I don't think so!
That's plain stupid. They don't sweat, play in the mud or even have gross poop yet.
Daily baths can dry out their skin, cause their sensitive skin lots of problems, strips them of their naturally wonderful baby smell...
By all means, play in the water with them or calm them with a bath, but babies do not need to be bathed daily.
That was rather harsh! Between spit ups and pee and poop wipes only can clean so much in my opinion (which may be unpopular). Everyone in our family bathes at least once a day. I think everyone can appreciate a bath at the end of a day..just feels good and helps you unwind. Also helps establish a nite time schedule. LO has had a bath of every single nite with no side effects.
I just think that it is odd that some only bathe every couple of days. Time can't be an issue. Takes 5 minutes!
I was being sarcastic with the "harsh" comment. We really don't have issues with dry skin here. I could see where that may be a problem in Northern areas. Here.. It is just gross to not bathe daily. Too hot and sticky from humidity.
I bathe my LO in five minutes.. I don't think they need one daily but we usually go every other day unless there's an explosion. Once it's summer and he's outside for more than the 30 seconds to and from the car, it'll probably be daily.
I have zero sympathy for people with drug problems.. It's not a secret that drugs are addicting. Quit acting like a victim.
This is really bothering me for some reason. 5 minutes to bathe the baby? I can't even get everything I need - tub, washcloths, towel, diaper, wipes, diaper cream, bath wash, baby oil (we massage it into her head to treat the dry skin first), lotion, brush, changing pad, and PJs - to the kitchen and fill the tub in 5 minutes. The bath itself takes 10 minutes, then clean up is another 5. So no, I don't have 20-25 minutes to bathe my baby every night.
Agreed. That's time I could be using to bathe myself.

But, you are wrong. If you bathed my daughter everyday, her eczema would be STOOPID unmanageable without steroids. No thanks. I'll leave her unbathed except for ONCE PER WEEK (the horror!!) in order to avoid the medications.
So... you bathe your baby all day long for all I care. Your opinion is still wrong.
Chiming in on the great bath debate..LO had his 2 month checkup on Tuesday and as his pedi was examining him she noticed how dry his skin is. I told her I'm not sure why, as I only bathe him every other or every 2 days. I did, however, admit that bath days are the only days I really moisturize him. She actually suggested I bathe and moisturize him everyday. I specifically asked "but won't that dry out his skin even more?" and her response was "No, it shouldn't because his bath should be no longer than 5 minutes, anyway." Funny how all practices have their own doctrines..makes things kind of confusing. With that said, I probably won't be bathing him everyday because as a pp already gif'ed "aint nobody got time for that"..
My pedi said the same about the length of the bath. He said every day is fine as long as each bath isn't longer than 5-7 minutes. It's sitting in the water long term that dries it out apparently.
And I agree its funny how we all get such different advice from our pediatricians. Lol.

My UO isn't really unpopular and yet a lot of people still do it, I think people shouldn't post anything about religion or politics on FB. I get seriously pissed when people post things regarding abortions. Pro-life or Pro-choice, it doesn't matter; FB is not the place for it.

The things I could do with five minutes to myself!!
That's what Tim said.
Is it bad that I still side eye all SN that have Jess in them?
What ever happened to that peach anyway? There was talk of her possibly using a different SN at one point, right? Oh the endless entertainment I got from reading that thread!

Well that's why you have to bathe your baby every night, you're not doing it right.
You are probably right! I am sure I have been doing it wrong with all 3 of my children. Please advise me on the correct way a child should be bathed. Thanks in advance!

Well, damn, @rczamora! @riserst sure told you! Oh yeah, riserst, who are you again?
All babies are different... some skin can handle baths everyday and some cannot. LO gets a bath every night (unless we are too tired) followed by warming up in his fresh jammies for his bedtime routine And all pediatrians are different too. My doctor side eyed me when I told him I was bathing my 2 week old twice a week.

I'm having trouble trying to articulate exactly what I mean to say, but I think a few BLADs may get it.

I do have the first two episodes of Sherlock downloaded, but haven't yet found time to watch them. Still, Benedict Cumberbach, yo.

Just MY opinion..that is all. No need to go consult your pediatrician about it or be offended.
...I'm still stuck with the mental image of babies as tiny aerobics instructors, though. I admit it: I laughed!
