New2board/spit up baby

Hello everyone. my LO is 7 wks. I am a FTM. pretty complicated history, so he is definitely my miracle baby. He was due 12/17 but because of my history, we had to delivery by c-section at 37 wks. He entered my life 11/26/13. sooooo anyways.. I joined this board because. I am also new to the Columbus Ohio area and in search of new moms to possible meet up with etc.. The only thing that is bothering me about my little guy is he spits up, Dr said its not abnormal. he is gaining weight although hes on the smaller side.. he is on the similac for spit up formula and it helps A LITTLE... any tips advice?

I'm not in that area, nor do I have any advice that your doctor hasn't already given you. Spit up is normal and LO is growing, so I don't why you are worried.

That being said, your grammar sucks, so much so that it took me three times reading to get through the post to figure out what you were saying.

Just understanding that physiologically his GI tract is still developing would help you out tons.  Have you read much about infant development?

Sphincters are muscles at the top or bottom or both of digestive organs.  They allow substances to pass or keep substances in.  The sphincter at the top of the stomach is immature at birth.  It allows the contents of the stomach to spill back into the esophagus.  Refluxing and spit up are absolutely, 100% normal for our NBs.
