I'm so sorry for this drama on here...I hope you all are having a terrific week! And I really hope my annoying drama didn't cause any of you any discomfort.
Oh dear! Some people on the bump are just ... not my people . Sorry you had some bump drama.
As for your original post re: the flu shot, here's my two cents.
First off - I'm a lot like you - generally not into vaccinations, taking medicine unless I really need it. etc. However, I DID get a flu shot in the end,and here's why: My MFM was I think going to body block me from leaving (for one) if I didn't; but she explained that, if I did get the flu, and required treatment, most of the treatments which would cure me ("save my life") would harm my baby. Third, my wife works with the public and rarely if ever gets sick, but could bring something home to me since she encounters so many people in a day (she gets a flu shot because of her job).
I am trying for a "no regrets" pregnancy after my loss last March. I don't know how I'd live with myself if I got the flu and my otherwise perfect baby ended up with defects because I didn't get the shot due to treatments administered to me. Now - this in indeed extreme. What are the chances? I figured, not high - but came back to the "what if" for me, and a little voice in my head said "it's not just you anymore", and so I got the shot. I was conflicted but I am choosing to trust my docs this time vs. Dr. Google, etc.
I do *totally* understand where you are coming from and I don't begrudge you that at all! For me, I decided it was smarter to get the shot than not. My friend who is 31w right now did NOT get the shot after doing her research, etc. and said she worries, but it felt right to her and so she's just been super careful in public about hygiene, etc. I totally support her doing what is right for her!
Good luck with your decision! (p.s. the 1st tri, BMBs, etc. scare me a little! seeing your experience with this reminds me why!)

Thanks 2Mamaz! That's the kind of advice I was looking for!! After being spoiled with support and love on this board I never imagined it would be any other way on a different board.
I'm leaning towards getting it, I just wanna get all the info I can beforehand. I think flu season is almost over too so idk if it even matters soon!

What the actual fuck?! Now she is flagging me for trying to teach her. I've had enough. Is she going to be banned soon? @SmileyGirl18, since you are already here can you remove it please?
scorpgirl1120 There are some posts on here that deserve being roasted, but I don't think your post yielded that kind of a response. These are just attention seeking women looking for drama.
I have a co-worker (she's not pregnant) that just had her flu shot last week... and got the FLU as a result. So I get where you're coming from. I usually don't get the flu shot, but I did when I was pregnant with my son. This time around, I haven't taken one, and my doctor hasn't said anything about it... so I'm just gonna let it be. If he suggests it, I'll likely take it... so whatever. Its your body / your baby's body, you do what you think is best for you and your baby.
