ER tomorrow! ****UPDATE****

After one last final ultrasound this morning (trigger was last night), we are all set for ER tomorrow morning. I'm nervous and excited. Any words of wisdom or advice from the veterans for this first timer?

UPDATE: Thanks for all the support ladies! The ER wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I'm feeling cramps but nothing I can't handle. They retrieved 19 eggs so hopefully there is a good one in there!

    You'll do great!  =)  Loose fitting clothes and your pillow and magazines, blanket, etc. all laid out and ready for when you return home to rest.....and sleep.   :)  Excited to hear about your report....keep us posted!

    Married August 2012 -- Me (40 yrs old) My husband (45 yrs. old) 

    RE referral from ObGYN in late Jan. 2013 -- Testing Confirms Unexplained IF 

    IUI #"s1 - 3 (Femara + IUI) April - June 2013 - all BFN

      Decided to do IVF... Began stimming on September 10th!  Egg Retrieval 9/20/13.  19 eggs: 6 to mature to freeze after 6 fertilized with ICSI

     3 morula stage embryos transferred on 9/25/13.....Beta #1 on 10/4/13/ = 7.5  Beta #2 on 10/6/13 =  negative

      IVF#2 - Lupron plan  (set to begin on 10/28/13)  (Planning on thawing and fertilizing our 6 eggs with ICSI as well as all of the mature eggs they retrieve with this fresh cycle.)

     Late October 2013 - ectopic pregnancy - methotrexate injection....benched 3 months

    CD1 - 12/5/13...Lupron set to start on 12/26/13; CD1 - 1/2/14....Baseline 1/3/14....begin follistim tonight and continue with lupron.  (Got my calendar today!  IVF#2 is a go!)

    ER = 1/14/14  (11 eggs....9 were mature. 9 fertilized.  Of the 6 mature eggs we thawed, only 4 fertilized.  At this time, we have 13 eggs fertilized and growing.  Waiting for news about a 3-day or 5-day transfer.)

    ET = 1/19/14  (5dt).....3 blastocysts transferred!   (All nine embryos didn't make it to freeze.  =(  )

    Beta #1 = 1/28/14   (2 weeks after ER)  BFP! 209 (9dp5dt)   EDD 10/7/14

    Beta #2 - 1/30/14  (11 dp5dt) 302

    Beta #3 - 2/3/14  (15 dp5dt)  1222 

    Ultrasound set for 2/17/14......TWINS!        Twin A - HR 124 bpm; Twin B - HR 126 bpm

    Final Ultrasound with RE 3/10/14 - Twin A - HR 176 bpm; Twin B - HR 177 bpm.

    Keep us posted for sure! You will do fine. I agree with MMhopeful about everything. I want to add that I found a heating pad to be a wonderful help plus lots of Gatorade. GL tomorrow

    You'll do fine. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. I was able to go to work the next day, but I was pretty bloated. Take the next day off of you need to and drink electrolyte drinks.

    Just wanted to wish you lots of luck. I've had ERs that were pain free and others that were super achy. They will offer you meds when you come out. (Different ones based on how much pain you're in) I find that I get most anxious on the table- something about being hooked up to IV and my legs are bandaged to the side of the table in a dark room. I just close my eyes and focus on my breathing.
    I agree with PP have everything ready at home to make you comfortable and make sure you have drinks with electrolytes at home. Coconut water is a good one. Wishing you lots and lots of luck!

    TTC since 9/2011. DH - 32, me 32.

    IUI#1 (natural): BFN; IUI#2 (clomid): BFN; IUI#3 (clomid and follistim): BFN.

    IVF #1 March 2013, freeze all (OHSS).

    FET#1 June: BFN

    FET#2 August: delayed due to thin lining (6.3).  Took a few months off to try and thicken the lining with lots of estrodial.  FET#2.2 December: Cancelled due to thin lining (4.8). Two frosties left.

    *New RE* Sonohystrogram and hystereoscopy done in Feb.

    IVF #2: ER 3/4/14  ET 3/7/14, transferred 3, 3 day 9 cell perfect embryos.  No frosties.

    Beta #1 (14dp3dt) 504

    Beta #2 (21dp3dt) 11,561

    First ultrasound on 4/3/14 showed 3 sacs: one empty and two with beating hearts!!  At 7w2d, found out that one baby did not have a heartbeat anymore.  Praying that baby B makes it.  Baby B is a girl!

    EDD 11/25/14 BORN 11/29/14

    Yoga pants :) and be prepared if youare like me to not want to cok then next few days. Either order in or let hubby be your chef (have easy to grab and eat food if going back to work.

    Yes.  IVF #1, I brought one with me, but was out of it after ER and forgot to put it on.  I didn't make that mistake again for IVF #2.

    Other than that comfortable clothing and take it easy!  Both of my previous ERs were pretty easy, I always felt pretty good about 24 hours afterwards.  GL!

    They gave me a pill before the ER so I didn't feel nauseous afterward. I went home after they released me and stayed in bed, I was nervous about getting the fertility report, they called the next day at 11am to let me know how many were retrieved/fertilized which calmed me down a lot. I think the worst is the 2WW after ET (just the anxiety of finding out if it worked or not basically), good luck and keep us updated!

    I agree on the Gatorade. I didn't bleed at all so I didn't need the pantyliner. I had some slight cramping though.

    Thank you for your advice and support it means so much to me! We haven't told our family or friends that we are using IVF so you ladies mean more to me than you know. You've definitely made the journey this far much easier than it would have been without this support system.

    Good luck! Mine was definitely not as bad as expected, and that was the first time I'd had surgery of any kind. You'll do great!

    October 2013 IUI#2 - Letrozole + Menopur + Trigger + IUI = BFN

    Nov 2013 IVF/ICSI #1 - Protocol: BCP prep, high doses Menopur and Bravelle (12 days), ganirelex
    Results: 5 retrieved / mature, 4 fertilized, 1 arrested and 3 complex abnormal after day 3 PGS = Cancelled after ER
    Jan/Feb 2014 IVF/ICSI #2 - Protocol: Estrogen priming, high doses Menopur and Bravelle (11 days), microdose lupron
    Results: Cancelled after 11 days of stims due to low response and E2 levels
    Feb 2014 IVF/ICSI #3 - Protocol: No prep, low dose Menopur (6 days), ganirelex, Bravelle booster with trigger
    Results: 1 retrieved / 0 mature = Cancelled after ER

    Officially moving on to embryo adoption! We used and love Embryo Adoption Services of Cedar Park
    October 2014 FET #1 - BCP/Lupron/Estrace/Prometrium, transferred 2 of 4 from match #1, BFN
    December 2014 FET #2 - BCP/Lupron/Estrace/Prometrium, transferred 2 of 4 from match #1, BFN
    March 2015 FET #3 - BCP/Lupron/Estrace/Prometrium, transferred 2 of 6 from match #2, BFN
    May 2015 FET #4 - BCP/Lupron/Estrace/Prometrium, lost 2 to thaw, transferred 2 of 6 from match #2, BFN
    October 2015 FET #5 - Natural cycle, lost 1 from match #3 and 1 from clinic backup to thaw, transferred 1 backup, BFN
    February 2016 FET #6 - Natural cycle, transferred 1 from match #4, B FREAKING P!
    Beta 1 = 162, Beta 2 = 316, doubling just over 48 hours

    Good luck! I won't be a debbie downer, but mine was worse than I had expected. However, I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia. Stick to Gatorade and take it easy for the rest of the day!

    Good luck today! I've never had a lot of pain, but they never retrieved many eggs either. I think the last time I had slight pain but I was also bawling my eyes out uncontrollably at 3 eggs (we were expecting at least 5-6). After each ER, we stopped a place nearby that had GF waffles. We'll probably do it again this time. It was good to eat prior to the car ride home and then napping all day!

    September 2012: Start IF testing

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1
