Freaking lupron drama holy moly

I hate this drug.... First, I was told by my RE that I should expect my AF about 10 days after my first injection; AF showed up 2 days later and didnt leave for 14 days! Then I had a teaser of no AF for two days then spotting which has gone on all month. So, I went in for my injection today and explained to the nurse about the injection being ridiculously complicated and how I had to salvage the lupron when I did the first injection (which I found out later that they want that injection done in the office because it is so complicated) and I explained my AF situation.... She ran it by the RE and now I have to go in Monday to have my e2 drawn to make sure my ovaries are actually being suppressed...... Needless to say if they aren't.... That is another month of delay. All of this because NOBODY communicated with me that the injection needs to be done in the REs office....... Seriously can't I catch a freaking break? I want to throw something I'm so mad!

Oh my, I'm sorry.

I can't believe they didn't tell you that the shot needed to be done at the office.  Seems like that would be a big part of the instructions.  I would be really pissed.

I've had a few miscommunications with my clinic, but nothing like that.

That is so wrong! Ughh the insensitivity of RE offices sometimes. I hope their mistake doesnt delay u again. I know another month would feel like forever. *hugs*

How frustrating!!!  I hate when the lack of communication on their part causes problems...as if we are supposed to know everything. I definitely would go with that throwing something plan

Uhh so annoying. Sorry. You are now freaking me out bc I just spoke with my RE today and he suggested a Lupron Flare Protocol. I have no idea what that is but now I'm scared.  

I hope things get sorted out asap.

I think that a lupron protocol might be different. I'm doing depot lupron which is a once a month injection because of my adenomyosis which is similar to endometriosis. I believe that a lot of protocols with lupron is so the progesterone isn't suppressed... Maybe I'm wrong but I wouldn't worry too much

Is this a different lupron than the normal IVF lupron? I did my lupron shots at home from a multi-dose vial. Sorry you've had a set back, hopefully they can get you straightened out for next month.

Ya it's depo lupron and it's a once per month injection used to treat conditions like adenomyosis and endometriosis. I have adenomyosis so I'm doing this treatment for 3 months before we try an FET again.

Lupron definitely feels like a long process. I just stopped mine and did a week of follistim but now on bcps. Hope it goes smoothly for you! xo
