Anyone have the Britax be ready? Looking for opinions (Posted in baby gear too) :)

So this is baby #3 for us DD will be 5 and DS with be 3 when this LO arrives... we have a joovy tandem stroller from when DS was born, which was great. But I've been loving the modular strollers, the ease of using a britax car seat, and I'll be honest, I just love the look of it... I would be using it primarily as a single and had looked at the be-agile but was not liking that it wasn't modular... that being said most other modular strollers are way more expensive and being as this is prob our last, not sure if it's worth the extra $$$...

So any opinions on the 2013 model of the be ready ( I'm looking at the moss color so pretty) or any other modular stroller recs

Thanks!

  • Hello! I'm a lurker but kind of diving into replying. Just to add my 2 cents, the B-Ready was on the top of my list, but I'm thinking I'm going to go with the Baby Jogger Versa. My friend has the B-ready system and absolutely loves it. It hits all the big priorities (for me at least): Easy fold, compact fold, lightweight, easy to maneuver, big storage compartment. I'd say it's a great investment and my friend said she is so glad she paid the little extra money. I think it's really similar to the Versa as far as features (or the city mini for 3-wheels), so it'd just be a preference thing.

  • @hahnycakes I know I read that it was a good choice for tall parents, would you agree? I'm 5'10 and DH is 6'2. Also what are the main differences/reasons why you're opting for the BabyJoggerVersa?

    Thanks! :)

  • Have you seen it in person? I was considering it for the twins and my toddler but the second seat is fairly low to the ground IMO and the seats aren't as wide as on a side by side. No personal experience, just wanted to mention what I thought were issues. I also just don't like the stacking of kids though so take my opinion for what it's worth :-)

  • @LegalLadyBug Those are good points. ( I don't love the idea of one child below the other) but I would be using it as a single stroller. When you mention the seats side by side do you mean in  a double (i.e. the be agile double) or the width in general is less wide than other comparable strollers? I hadn't seen a small seat width mentioned in any reviews I found but am curious now...

    Thanks for your input! :)

  • I hadn't either until the other day when someone told me that. They may have just meant for the removable bottom seat? That's part of the reason I was wondering if you had seen it in person. We don't have a BRU or BBB near me so I haven't seen it. We're getting a double b agile but I realize now that you probably don't need or want a permanent double like that.

  • @LegalLadyBug No I haven't seen it in person, but I've watched about every review video for it I can find (does that count?) hah. I need to see if they have a floor model at our BBB or BRU, but admittedly I'm much more of a order online kinda girl. I looked at the b-agile too, for twins I think it will be nice, I was initially looking at the single model; but as I said , sorta fell in love with the look of the modular system ( even for use for a single baby). Thanks for your input though! :)

  • I bought this stroller from amazon before thanksgiving and ended up returning it. I liked it, it is really sturdy and the wheels were really high quality. Honestly, it was just missing many of the extras, and was significantly more than the system I ended getting (Greco modes click connect). Also, the infant seat was heavier, although that is because of the metal which was the big selling point for me. This turned my DH off. If you can, try both out at a store. Our choice was made after playing with them side by side, which required going to a further store, but was worth it. Also, check amazon for sales. From what I understand they run them a few times each year. I forget exactly, but it want to say we got the coach and car seat for $350 (will look up if u are interested in exact amounts).
