So if I went with Juniper

Is Lily for a MN too much? Juniper Lily?

Re: So if I went with Juniper

  • I think it's bordering on a little too nature-y. But MNs don't really bother me. But what about Juniper Lilou? Or Juniper Lillian?

  • Would Juniper Lilah work better? We were kinda stuck on Lily or Lilah for a MN

  • It just feels stilted regardless of whether you use Lily or Lilah.

The cadence is off for me.  Are there any other contenders for the MN spot?

    FWIW, I absolutely adore Juniper!!

I love nature names, but I think two plants is too much. We have a Basil and gave her a traditional middle name. If we use Violet we will give her the middle name Matilda even though we really love the middle name Magnolia.

I feel like juniper needs a one-syllable middle name, to make it flow better.

Agreed. And Juniper Lily is too much for me

  • For me yes...   I don't mind certain "word" names esp some nature ones but really dislike if they are paired with another word name.    I agree a one syllable name would fit nicely

    Juniper Tess

    Juniper Claire

    Juniper Maeve

    Juniper Kate

  • I think Juniper Lilah is nice. I agree that the flow could definitely be better but I don't think that's a huge deal if you love it.
  • I agree with mummyofsix - A non-nature word would be best and a 1 syllable would be great.

Juniper Ann works so much better than Juniper Lily for a lot of reasons, but if you just love Lily of Lilah that is more important than flow.... it's just the double dose of botanicals that bugs me but most people wont know her middle name.  The sound of Juniper is hard to work with.
  • I really like it. Juniper is definitely a GP name for me but I think it sounds really cute with Lily.

  • I would go with maybe a more traditional name--

    Juniper Mary

    Juniper Frances

    Juniper Anne

but I hope you decide to use this name-- it's lovely!
