September 2013 Moms

I feel pretty..how about you?

The check for hair post reminded me of how much mine is falling out. I assume its from nursing but the combination of my hair falling out like crazy, dry cracked lips, dry patches all over my skin, funky boobs and now dry scalp I am feeling like the prettiest lady around. There should be a weekend resort for new moms to just get back to their normal.  Until then I'll continue to stick my falling out hair to the side of the shower, lather my body is thick lotion and blistex the shit out of my lips.

I stick my hair on the side of the shower too. It grosses out DH. Lol

Let's not forget breaking out all over again to me feel so sexy.
  • I've always had awful eczema that magically went away with pregnancy.  Well, it's come back with vengeance.  People keep making comments about how tired I look and I'm just like nope, not bags under my eyes, just eczema, thanks for noticing.  I will give myself a pat on the back tho 10 lbs away from Pre pregnancy weight and 5 lbs away from my goal weight while breast feeding.

  • Losing hair is a normal postpartum symptoms around three or four months postpartum. I did not nursed either of my children but I have a lot of hair loss as well. After DD1, my gyno told me that it was a normal symptom postpartum. I think it lasted about 4 to 6 weeks last time, and I'm currently going through it now.

  • My skin got so nice and clear while pregnant and now it's back to my normal oily breakouts. Yay.

  • My hair is still falling out like mad, and it has been happening for at least 6 weeks now.. so pretty with my bald spots. And as much as DF tries to compliment me , I know he notices my thinning hair now, we took LO to the Ped the other day and the nurse was like  "is there anything else you want to ask the dr about?" and DF says " do you want to talk to them about your hair falling out so much?", im like haha and you say it isn't noticeable.. haha

  • I find hair EVERYWHERE including on Zoe's clothes, pacifiers, diapers, you name it. I've always had thick, shiny hair with a lot of volume and now it just feels flat, dull and thinning. Couple that with the fact that I haven't gotten a hair cut since July and my hair is below the middle of my back, all i need is a flower head band to look like a 70s flower child.
  • Weight loss has been such a treat! I've been working out at a kettle bell club for about two months now. Have I lost any weight? NOPE! It's awesome.

At least my hair loss has been on my butt. Eek it was getting pretty thick from all those hormones!
  • After the hair in the shower and the hair after blow drying I have no idea how any is left on my head!  Weight loss has sucked as well.  I go up and down my stairs at least a thousand times at night and all I've noticed is shin splints...FML.  DD is healthy as can be so I guess I can't complain but momma is looking ROUGH!

  • Oh I'm there too. I look like I have a bald spot in the front, lost weight initially now gaining, can't keep up with my body hair (legs, eyebrows), breaking out, fricking flabby, hungry all the Damon time, and cravings are worse for me now than during pregnancy. Wth.
I feel like a hot MESS!! And on good days I can shower before DH gets home. Sweet.
  • Oh my gosh, me, too. Blech.

  • I refuse to blow my hair dry anymore. I had to one day this week for a "big whig" meeting and I laid a sheet down on my bathroom floor because there is so much hair.

If I wear my hair down I can't wear black because it's totes noticable.

I have mastered the barely brushed wet bun. My DH goes "that's not my favorite hair style"... I told him right now it's more about function than anything.

Hopefully this doesn't last more than 6 weeks!

  • I'm losing hair BUT the breakouts suck!! My skin was so nice while pregnant now I look like I'm 16 again. Hungry all the time and my old jeans still don't fit....lame!
  • I look in the mirror and feel like I don't even recognize the person staring back. I look as if I've aged 10 years. Yikes!

  • I was just talking about how I feel so shabby lately.. My boyfriend always says "it doesn't matter you're a mom, you look good" which is great but it's really not helping the fact that yes I'm a mom, but I want to feel pretty too! I shouldn't be going bald at 21!! & I'm breaking out so much & gaining weight WTH! Ooh and to top it off I always had nice strong nails that grow long and all of a sudden their getting strange like dents waving down them and breaking all the time. I feel lovely.

  • Surprising? Yep 21, I'm a young mama. I've always kind of wondered everyone's age. Kind of interesting! @kimberlymacrae
  • Yeah.. So much for the 'you lose SOOOOO much weight when you bf.' Yeah...like the first two weeks. Also my skin is a wreck, major combination problems.
  • @Burrberrymum:  I always pictures you tolder because, well... your grammar is great and your topics aren't typically that of a 21... year... old? That is going to come out weird no matter how I type it.

Well thanks, I'll take that as a compliment! :)
