1st Trimester

Has anyone had a VBAC?

I had a c-section with our twin girls, even though it was a healthy, full-term pregnancy because my doc recommended it.  I am considering a vaginal birth this time around, mostly because I want to experience real labor and not have to recover from an operation while caring for a newborn and two 6 year olds.

What was your experience like with the VBAC?  Was it tough to convince your doctor to do it?

  • You sound like a great candidate. If your provider isn't supportive, find a new one. The VBAC board is a great place for more tips.

  • I'm glad you asked this question. I also had twins with my first pregnancy and had to have a c-section due to their positions....I want to go VBAC this time around also. I had to drive to the next county to the closest hospital that allows it....heading to VBAC board now...lol
  • I tried to VBAC DD2 but it was unsuccessful. I did labor and push with both kids, so I did get to experience labor, but I'm still bummed I never got the reward of actually birthing the baby :(

I had to switch hospitals and docs to find one, but it wasn't hard.
