DD was up every 30 min last night....constipation??

Happy New Years to us! She was up every 30 min from about 9-3am. I finally took her to bed with me & she slept until 6 & then played for a little & slept until 830.

We are hoping she just had gas. She's only pooped once in the past 2 days. What can we do & how can we tell?

Did you give her gas drops? Was the poop 2 days ago normal in consistency? DS's gets very firm/pasty when he's constipated, and a little diluted prune juice (water + juice to make 2oz total) gets things moving again.

We were out of town 2 weeks ago at a wedding with DD and she was going on 2.5 days without going & was cranky about it. I called my sister who has 2 kids and she said to give her a little apple juice (diluted with water 1:1 ratio). Worked like a charm. But if this makes you nervous call your pedi.

We did once or twice. We're going to do it all day today though. It was a little thicker than normal but nothing I thought anything about.

DS's started that way the week he was really super constipated--I didn't think anything of it, either, until he started sleeping REALLY badly and having grumpy days. We went to the pedi for it thinking he had an ear infection, and she said it was poo problems. The juice worked FAST.

i don't have any suggestions.  i just always see you posting about frusterating nights with your LO, and wanted to say i really feel for what you are dealing with and hope it gets better soon.  my ds was waking every three hours for the longest time and just started sleeping better this last week.  i hope things change for you too soon.

It seems to always be something! We thought we got it all figured out with the reflux meds b/c she went back to only waking once a night for a few weeks. Of course, everyone has their opinion about what I need to be doing! Which doesn't help me any.
