Cholestasis? Come on in.

I had cholestasis of pregnancy. My OB prescribed me the mini pill for birth control at my pp appt. She said it may or may not cause the itching to come back and liver damage! She said this is the best option for hormonal bc because the combined pill is worse. Wtf? Are you taking and bc pills? Have your symptoms returned? I am so scared, but would like to be on bc.

    I had cholestasis but haven't inquired about the pill, I don't like hormonal BCPs for various reasons, sorry not much help here... Can you try it while monitoring your liver enzyme levels?
