We've been looking at travel systems and pack n plays since we started trying to get pregnant. We both really like the Chicco Key Fit system but we aren't ready to commit yet.
What travel system do you have or plan to get? As when are you going to start acquiring things?
We won't have a shower and we don't expect support from our families to get ready (DH family is in France and mine is 2500 miles away and we recently moved and don't know many people...And those we know are also all having babies about the same time). So we are thinking to start stocking up soon to spread the expense over the next 4 months. I also want everything in order and ready by end of April due to history of preterm labor. Is it too soon to start now?

Re: Have you picked an infant travel system?
I love Britax strollers (have used B-Nimble and BOB), but don't know about the infant car seats. Heard great things about their travel systems!
Baby #1: expected June 2014
This! Do a snap n go to start and pick a separate stroller once LO is too big for it. They are usually very affordable and often easily found on craigslist. Most travel systems are bulky. Some newer (affordable and expensive) strollers have features like a snap n go (like pp) in that you are not dealing with a full size regular stroller with an infant car seat snapped into that seat.
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
I don't think it's too early. Our plan is to have everything done by 28 weeks since doc anticipates putting me in bed rest at that time.
I have a friend that is letting me borrow one of her extras. However, I could swear that I saw some at Babies R Us. I could be mistaken...
