help with train sets

DS received two train sets for Christmas. These things are taking over. There is track everywhere I look. How do/did you manage a train set? Storage until play time? I am seriously ready to sell them already!

    We have a play room in our basement but DS only goes down there a few times a week... so everything is upstairs. I guess I am in need of a train table!

    I got him a big Thomas tote bag to store everything in. He plays with the tracks on our foam ABC mats off to the side of the room. I generally let him leave everything out during the day, then pick up before bedtime. The trains can scatter around the rest of the family room, but the tracks have to stay on the mat or in the bag.

    DD has a train table with a tote bag that stores the pieces.
