Baby shower invite wording question

So my mom is throwing me a shower, but is not tech savvy so I'm putting the evites together. Just curious- have u seen invites say "honoring the parents to be, my and SO's name" or just "honoring me"? This will be a mostly women only shower, with the exception of family (family men will be there) and super close friends. How do u note that in the invite? Thanks in advance!

Re: Baby shower invite wording question

  • I've seen shower invites with both of those wordings, however, I think that if the shower will be only women, they tend to say just honoring you (not you and SO)... that's what I've noticed...

  • from what I've seen, if the husband/SO is mentioned then it is a coed shower and if its just the woman then it is a "women only" shower.

I lurk around on sites like minted and tinyprints to get ideas for wording on invitations and other cards. I'm not very creative with these things.
