T minus 1 hour til first PIO - UPDATED

Okay so really it's more like an hour and a half... But I'm super nervous and feel like I'm on the verge of a breakdown.. I know I keep posting about this stupid PIO. And everyone keeps telling me it will be a fine it's not as bad as I think it is going to be. So please talk me down off the ledge! I think I might throw up.. thanks girls!!

my husband is a ROCKSTAR! No hesitation. Did not hurt at all. Sitting on a heating pad. I would have never believe my DH (terrified of needles) could inject an inch and a half needle! Wow!

IVF #1 starting in August. ER 9/5/13 23 eggs we are fertilizing 15. 9 frozen
ET 9/10 - transferred 1 perfect 5AA blast
7dp5dt BFP ~~ Beta on 9/19 - 77.4 Beta #2 on 9/21 - 357
Low heartbeat on 10/7 86, lower heartbeat on 10/11 76, no heartbeat 10/14/13. D&C 10/15/13
Tests revealed MTHFR c677t mutation, put on Folgard.

    Sig Warning...

    Just think about a baby. That's the only thing that helped me get through the nerves. Think big picture. Is your partner doing it for you? It's really no big deal once you do it. If you're doing it yourself, having someone draw a circle on my bum in the right place (upper outside quadrant...almost the hip!) Maybe this image will work. It really helps to aim for the Xs. The remaining quadrants of your bum are much more sensitive if you get it in the wrong spot. 

    The anticipation of it is always worse than anything else. If you're drinking, drink a glass of wine or a shot of something before the first shot. I did that, it helped.

    | Married since 2008 | DH and I: Both 30 | Me: Endometriosis and Carrier of an X-Linked Dominant Genetic Disorder | DH: Low Morph | Planning IVF with PGD and PGS in 2013 | Freeze-All IVF #1: March 2013 ER 3/26. 29R, 12M, 11F. 4 5AA frozen blasts. Freeze-All IVF#2: May 2013 ER 5/15. 31R, 21M, 20F. 6 5AA frozen blasts. Our PGD probe was completed in late June (total of 20 weeks to develop). PGD and PGS Results came on 6/19: 3 healthy embryos (normal chromosomes and unaffected by my family's genetic disorder). FET #1: July 2013 Natural Cycle - Cancelled due to insufficient lining (only got to 7.5mm). FET #1.2: August 2013 - Medicated Cycle with Lupron & Estrogen Patches to build up lining. Single embryo transfer was 8/23. Beta #1: 240! Beta #2: 578! U/S on 9/19 at 6w4d: We saw the heart beating at 131bpm. Second U/S on 10/4 at 8w5d: We saw the heart beating at 178bpm. EDD 5/11/2014

    Honestly- it's all nerves. I only do IM shots now- I find they are less likely to bruise compared to subcutaneous shots. The pain is pretty much the same- just more pressure and it takes longer to give. @rosyglow's picture is awesome- use that.  I used to wet a washcloth and microwave it for 1 minute- take it out with tongs and wrap the PIO vial in the wash cloth so that the oil was thinned out.

    Lol this will be my second FET and I'm already getting nervous all over again for the PIO! I now it doesn't hurt but it's something about that needle! Lol

    Truly, I almost threw up when the nurse explained that it needs to go in the muscle and I saw how long the needle was. However, I PROMISE you, it's not that bad. I won't lie, my poor bum is covered in black and blues, but they don't hurt. When I first started, it just used to feel like I worked out that side of my butt, but it rarely hurts at all anymore. 
    Me (31) - PCOS with insulin resistance

    4 rounds of Clomid = no response
    IVF # 1 - ET (1 3AA, 4 frosties): 12/22 = BFP
    EDD: 9/9/2014

    Glad to hear your DH was such a rockstar....that is my biggest fear.  I may have to use PIO this cycle but they said we won't know till later.  But I haven't done them yet and although I don't mind needles and I don't mind getting injections....I am petrified that DH is gonna choke :)  I really hope he can handle it if he has to do them.  Good luck with your next one...I am sure you will do great.

    Glad it went well.  It wasn't horrible just not fun once the bruises started mounting up and the pain from having so many injection sites.  It will all be worth it if it works!

    DX: Unexplained
    6 Failed IUIs (Clomid and Gonal F).  
    IVF #1 began August 2013- BC, 4 days of Estrace, stimmed with Gonal F and Menopur, Ganirelix, 9R 5M 5F, Medrol and Doxycycline, 5 day transfer of 2 early blastocysts- good quality, Progesterone, Estrace, and baby aspirin, BETA on 9/20 BFN,   IVF #2 began September 2013, stimming with Gonal F (higher dose) and Menopur, Ganirelix, 18R 14M 9F with ICSI, 5 day transfer of 2 BBs one was starting to hatch, 2 frosties: 1  BB and 1 AC, BETA on 10/21, BFN BETA was a 5- chemical 
    Getting some more testing and trying to figure out what the issue is before FET in December, started acupuncture on 11/10, RLP and some other BW nothing major to report except slightly high Prolactin. Prolactin was slightly high when I started with my RE and I already had an MRI which was Neg.  Endo biopsy=negative.  WTF is wrong with us???
    12/18/13 FET of 1 BB and 1 AC.  Hoping for a miracle.  Beta 12/26 Low BETA-8 2nd BETA 5- chemical
    After 3 failed transfers IDK where to go from here.  Still no real answers as to why this isn't working.  Getting a second opinion in February and looking into immune testing.  
    2/14- NEW RE- Immune testing showed a partial dq alpha match with DH- On prednisone and did intralipids prior to transfer.  3/14 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, HGH.  ER 15 mature all 15 fertilized!  5dt of an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2.  BETA on 4/21.  1 grade 2 embryo frozen
    BETA #1 59 BETA #2 148 BETA #3 283 BETA #4 2,783! US at 6w2d shows 1 bean measuring right on track! HR 121.  US at 8w3d measuring on track HR 177. Released form my RE.  EDD 12/28
