1cm dilated already...

Was in L&D early this morning due to having some pretty hard contractions Monday. They settled them down with some medication and then tested again for fFN which came back positive... Then she was going to send me down to u/s to get my cervix checked, but wanted to do a internal first... which told me that I was 1cm dilated already... BAM bed rest until Monday... They gave me a steroid shot and she informed me that 31 weeks is critical time right now... and the first goal is 34 weeks... OB said not to worry too much about the 1cm dilatation since I could be 1cm for awhile... but I am still worry about it. I am pretty upset. I had preterm issues with my DS, but I had severe SPD which I thought... get my SPD under control avoid preterm labor/bed rest... well here I am able to walk in my 3rd trimester and I am still having preterm labor issues... I'm sorry! Hopefully you'll stay at 1 for a long time and will easily make it to (and beyond!) 34 weeks. Thinking of y'all.

Oh goodness. You and the little one are in my prayers!! I hope you stay at 1cm until at least 34 but anything after i'm sure you'll take! Stay in bed and try to relax!

My last measurement was at 3.5cm(Dec 20th), however once my OB saw that I was 1cm already... she didn't order the cervical length u/s measurement due to risks/cause more contractions/irritation. She did say the baby is nice an high. The contractions are here, but they feel more like BH but period cramp like. Nothing like labor pains like I was experiencing Monday. Thank you all for the T&P I am really hoping that I can work from home. I have an appointment Monday which I hope they can tell me I can go back to work... but I think that is a long shot.
