Our dog, Lucy, is doing really well with the new baby.  She gets jealous of the attention Sarah gets but we are trying to make her feel as included as possible, giving her attention when we're oohing and ahing over the baby and whatnot. 

Last night the baby was in the swing and started to fuss.  Lucy comes up to the baby, sniffs her, watches her fuss for a minute, then comes over to us on the couch (about 8 feet from the baby, tops) and acts all concerned right before the baby starts crying.  It was so cute.  I love that she seems to be watching out for her already, like she's accepted the baby into the family/pack.

That's so sweet.  Oskar, my husband's cat, keeps coming to us when she cries.  He wants us to fix the hairless kitty!  My cat, on the other hand, is terrified of her and runs away at every opportunity.
