Happy Birthday @danabsd! What a great birthday! I think holiday birthdays are the best (mine is July 5) because it's so easy to get all your friends together!
1. My pottery barn order (curtains, bedding, a couple baskets) came yesterday, and I'm so excited to get started decorating the nursery!
2. I told myself I have to get all the Christmas decorations put away before I started on the nursery.
3. I really don't feel like taking the tree down. And I don't think last year's "Christmas Decor" box is big enough with the new stuff I bought this year.
4. I didn't know DH had today off work, and when I was laying in bed at 10:30 and heard footsteps coming down the hall, it scared the shit out of me.
5. It cracks me up when my dog eats her food too fast and then burps. I giggle every time. I wonder if I will find my baby's bodily functions so amusing.
6. I announced on Facebook that we're having a boy by saying "In case anyone ever doubted my abilities... for my next trick, I shall grow a penis" even though DH thought it was tacky.
7. DH posted a stupid meme to announce, and I made sure he noticed that mine got more likes than his.
8. Then I posted a pic of the blue flowers he bought me yesterday, which was his original idea for a FB announcement, and it got 5 times more likes than either of ours, so I guess neither of us is as funny as we think we are.
9. Ten things is too many. I always burn out after 8.
10. I slept until 10:30 this morning, and now it's 3:00 and I might take a nap. I love that I can use pregnancy as an excuse to be this lazy.
1. I went mall walking with Benjamin today. Apparently, the mall's garbage cans are his favorite thing in the whole world.
2. After we walked around for a while, he played in the mall playground thing for the first time in his life. He looked a little baffled by the other kids and how they were running and climbing on everything. We need to leave the house more often.
3. I've been trying to teach him the 'head, shoulders, knees, toes' song, and he usually gets head and toes right.
4. I used to sing it to distract him in a diaper change before he figured out shoulders or knees, and he started doing 'head, privates, toes'.
5. Today while I was getting him dressed it was 'head, nipples, knees, toes.'
6. A couple days ago he had the random milestone of figuring out how to take a bite out of a piece of bread.
7. It's amazing to watch him learn things and realize that they're things that even need to be learned in the first place. (The motor control to move his mouth while making a sound was another thing I hadn't realized people need to learn, for example.)
8. I still haven't written thank you notes. Blarg.
9. I discovered when I was wandering the mall that they have a couple awesome new places in the food court: build your own frozen yogurt extravaganza (most of the space is a buffet of topping options) and a Middle Eastern restaurant that doesn't look like a chain.
10. I'm weirdly excited to have V8 fruit and vegetable juice and rocky road ice cream for New Year's, even though there's very little chance I'll actually be awake when the ball drops.

It's 72 degrees here and I'm laying in the backyard getting my vitamin D 4. We had a 4d ultrasound last Friday and my husband thinks we are having a girl and I think boy - so we are still team green - lol. 5. Today was my last horse ride for the 2013 year and it was so relaxing - great way to end the year 6. My husband's company keeps talking to him about job opportunities overseas. I love to travel and we have plans to take the baby out of the country by end of summer but living overseas seems daunting 7. I am finally getting super excited for baby. Telling people was anxious for me and now I feel like I can just relax and enjoy 8. I am off work today so that is nice 9. I had a mango-peach smoothie at lunch and it was yummy and made it feel like summer 10 - is one too many things for me to come up with
@ErikaLynn75 Somehow I read your fourth one as "DH had to go in early and somebody was walking around the house at 10:30" and I was totally scared on your behalf... and then I reread with my reading comprehension turned on. Happy New Year.
1. I've been feeling the baby move for a little over a week now, but I still find myself worrying when I don't feel him move all the time.
2. I've started the registry process because I know that is the only way that I'll look into all of the things that I need to look into, like strollers, cloth diapers, bassinet or crib or pack and play.
3. The day after Christmas my cousin and her husband came up to visit so for New Years I was planning on going to my other cousin's and seeing them and everyone else, but now the cousin that is visiting is sick with a cold so might not be going, so now I don't know what I'm doing for New Years.
4. My husband's nephew that is 16 is coming over to spend New Years with us because his 30+ y/o mom wants to go to Boston and party like a 21 y/o.
5. I have anger issues towards said 16 y/o's mom because she wants to act that way all the time like every weekend even though she has 3 kids at home, and lives off of the government and what ever boyfriend she has that day.
6. It's starting to snow lightly here and I'm happy about that because I love snow and I have tomorrow off, but at the same time I know that it's going to impact travel for tonight with people going out.
7. I wore a sweater today that my mom bought me for Christmas because it has a tie that rests right under my breasts so it makes me look more pregnant than I actually look because I wanted to look pregnant for New Years and the pictures that I'm sure will be taken.
8. I lurk on this board way more than I share on here because I'm an extreme introvert in person and I'm noticing online as well, but I've gotten so much awesome advice, laughs, and wtf moment's from this board and the posts that people share.
9. My baby is due May 17th and my birthday is May 10th, I'm hoping that I'll have my baby on my birthday.
10. The house that my husband and I are moving into once we finish rehabbing it is finally starting to look like we're making progress, so I'm really hoping we'll be moving in the next few weeks. I'm beyond excited to finally move out of an apartment and into a house.
1. We are staying in tonight with MIL and FIL, making a big seafood dinner, and hopefully playing board games instead of just watching TV.
2. I've always dressed up for NYE: as a kid when we sat at home and made a special dinner and drank sparking juice, as a college student who didn't party but hung out with her sister on NYE, as an adult in many different cities, and as a bartender at a small pub.
3. I suggested dressing up to my MIL since we already have the "special dinner" planned. She simply said, "No, we don't do that. I may put on jeans." Denied.
4. Told H I may go ahead and wear a dress anyway and asked what he planned to wear: "Oh. That's cute. Uh... I don't know what I'm going to wear. I guess I'll put on a shirt?" He meant a button-up shirt, because it's not like he goes around shirtless (which I wouldn't mind), but still....Denied. Whatever.
5. I love feeling my baby move around. It's even cooler than I thought it would be.
6. We saw Old Crow Medicine Show in WV this year and they were incredible.
7. H gave me "The Big Easy Express" last year and I used to watch it every morning before work. Highly recommend if you like Old Crow/Mumford/Edward Sharpe.
8. Last May I was cutting an avocado and instead of using the serrated part of the knife to get the seed out, I stabbed clean through it and severed the tendon in my wedding ring finger. Can't feel or move the finger. Surgery to repair it "may or may not" work, but I'm going to try. So until I go in (after the baby is born) I wear my wedding band on my middle finger.
9. I really want to wear a backless dress tonight, but my boobs are so huge I don't know about it. On the other hand, that means I don't have to wear a bra. Which is a huge score.

I called my dr worried about the fact that the baby didn't move as much this weekend eventhough I'm intelligent and know I'm not supposed to expect consistent movement. Silly FTM I guess. 3.) My headband is the sweetest and told me he's going to miss kissing my belly. And then today said "I want her here today, four months is too long Can you start pushing?" Lol 4.) I've decided I'm fine with only having one pair of jeans to wear for the next 4 months. 5.) I am stuck in a urgent care for the next hour or so. Sucks so bad. (Not about the baby moving less lol) 7.) They are playing old school music right now "Baby Baby" Amy Grant! Oh my. 8.) NYE has never been a big deal to me. Well y2k was fun. Haha 9.) I spent my Christmas money on an expensive pregnancy pillow and it made me overheat and feel claustrophobic. I'm sending that back but I am dissapointed I'm not getting the perfect sleep that others got from this pillow. 10.) I get to see my parents and some of my sibling in two weeks! Makes flying so worth it.

1. Last night baby Ryan was moving like crazy and I laid in bed for an hour just watching my stomach move. 2. Because baby Ryan was so active husband got to feel him move for the first time. 3. I worked out yesterday for the first time in a while. Did a light upper body workout but am so sore today! 4. My ass is also sore from the damn body squats I did. 5. Cannot wait to get my ass back in shape after baby comes. 6. I am craving French Macarons so bad! 7. My A/S is on Monday and I cannot wait to see my baby boy again. 8. This weekend we go to my IL's for some dove hunting, and escape from the city. They live on a ranch in the middle of no where so it's a couple days of peace and quiet. 9. I cannot wait to start decorating Ryan's nursery. Paint color is picked, and now to start pulling it all together. 10. All I have wanted to do all day is take my husband upstairs and take advantage of him. If I have things my way THAT is how we will be ringing in the New Year!!

@singing_lyn I too am an introvert lurker. Many times I actually have a response in the reply box and then just x out of the tab instead of hitting reply because my comment suddenly seems silly. Happy New Year.
1. DH hasn't felt well the past few days, he has a sore throat and his voice keeps getting deeper.
2. We were going to see the 2nd Hunger Games movie yesterday but stayed in since it's so cold here and DH doesn't feel well.
3. Due to DH not feeling well, we're also over due for some fun, IYKWIM.
4. We might go this afternoon to see it, since we don't know how much longer it will be showing and we're about to get buried with snow the next couple days.
5. We decided we were over the whole ball drop thing last night and watched a cheesy Hallmark movie instead.
6. I think I'm going to start taking the Christmas decorations down while we're snowbound.
7. DH and I are going to start looking at new vehicles for me tomorrow (or next week if it starts snowing early), planning on picking out what we like now and then getting a better deal during the President's Day sales.
8. I'm anxious to start on the nursery, DH wants to wait a bit more to order furniture but I'm working on that.
9. I'm making him go with me tomorrow or next week to pick out the furniture set, so that as soon as we're ready to order it I can jump on that.
10. I really want pancakes right now.

2. We are snacking on donuts, cookie butter, & chips and dip.
3. I'm sooo glad I'm over the super flu bug that knoked DH and I out for a few days.
