Since we are transplants to this area as are all of the people we hang out with here, everyone is traveling (we came back yesterday). So, we will have a quiet night in, probably watch some movies to stay awake, watch the ball drop, and then go to bed. Bring on the CRAZY night...lol!
I'm thinking of having a good baking session with the kiddos. Making cookies and scones after all I've got to get some use out of that new kitchenaid I got for Christmas!
Going to friends (who live over an hour away - no biggie... until it's time to drive home) and hanging out. We usually play games - board games, Wii... I'm sure DD is going to insist we bring Beatles Rock Band.
We made dinner reservations, then we'll just go home and basically have a normal night. We haven't been out for new year's in a few years now, it's just too crowded and expensive and I don't want to be on the road with drunk drivers if I can avoid it.
We are going out to a late dinner with 2 more couples and then hanging out at one of their homes after for dessert and drinks. We are supposed to get 6 inches of snow tonight - so that should keep things interesting.
Considering going out to the shack to do some ice fishing but it is sooooo cold today that I am hesitant. I have to work in the morning so will be in bed before 10 lol
Going out to dinner early, then ringing in the new year at home swimming in the pool (it's heated) watching the ball drop on TV. Every year my husband & I write down on pieces of paper what were leaving behind us in the previous year & then we drop it in the outdoor fire-pit. Guess this year we will be leaving behind our life without kids!!!
We're going to my undergrad friends party. I'm so excited to see everyone! My closest friends live an hour away and a bunch are much much farther. The only times that we all see each other are for weddings and NYE. We'll have to try and make it again next year with the LO in tow - that should be an experience!
DH and I are going out to dinner with friends and then we'll come home early and I will probably pass out before midnight. This is more than we usually do on New Years though.. the last few years we've done puzzles and watched movies :-B and drank champagne of course! I will miss the champagne...
I get to spend it all by myself. It will be a first but unfortunately dh has to work and my friends are either out of town or are going downtown to party/clubbing. If they were going somewhere more local and not Vancouver I may have joined them but knowing that I would be stuck with a bunch of drunks and staying in a hotel, I decided by myself would be better.
I have my fingers crossed though that my dh might be finished before midnight since he is sick and probably shouldn't be working. (Somedays I wish he wasn't so dedicated to work and would just call in sick when needed.)
I'm going to my sister's, she's having a party that starts at 7pm and I'm really just hoping to not fall asleep on her couch by 9 haha. They'll all drink and I'll play bartender, my favorite!
We are going to my friend's house and snacking and playing games. Then a nice breakfast in the morning. We've spent almost every New Years together for over 10 years. I hope I make it to midnight! I think I'll take a long nap this afternoon....
DS is sick so we cancelled our plans to go out - doesn't feel right leaving him with a sitter when he is sick. He's had a few really rough nights Ina row so we likely won't even have people over since one of us is in constant contact with him or he won't sleep.
We are going to our friends annual NYE party (and his bday). I'm SO pissed tho, I planned on getting some sparkling cider/juice, but like usual I procrastinated and everywhere is sold out!!! Looks like Ocean Spray & sprite for me!!

We have been invited to two different friends' houses. If this abdominal pain goes away, we'll probably go to one or the other. I'm pretty sure it's gas/GI issues and going to a NYE party with weird food won't help. Both friends have kids, so hopefully the parties won't get too wild.
We are going over to our friends house. As far as I know, it'll be just us and them and their new 6 month old. We've spent the last few NYE together. I would LOVE to go out and party hardy though. Guess it will be a long time before that happens again.
Today is my birthday so we are just going to do a low key party here at home. We have some friends on town for the holiday so they ate coming over and it should be fun. Champagne and pizza! Maybe a couple rounds of taboo.
We're staying in. It's freezing and DS has a cold (plus we haven't really been invited to go anywhere anyway haha). I'm going to make a bunch of yummy, unhealthy appetizers instead of dinner so we can snack all night. I also skipped my morning cup of coffee and I'm going to drink a cup this evening so I can hopefully make it to midnight! We'll probably watch some movies or catch up on some Netflix shows. Aaaaand, I got a small bottle of champagne for DH and I to ring in the New Year (if I'm still awake).
It's just me and my boys tonight. DH is in Colorado, we're in Philly. I have some junk food for me and told my 4 year old we'll have our own party. He wants to have a dance party. We'll FaceTime with DH and likely the 3 of us will be asleep by 830.
Going to skip the casino this year and do some bingo. Probably dinner too. It's our anniversary and this will be the first time in 3 years we celebrate. Lol great celebration.
We're going to the in-laws for a lobster dinner they are cooking. We need to stay in anyway to make sure our dog doesn't go crazy when people start setting off fireworks.
I'll hopefully be asleep by 10pm, because I'm on call tomorrow from 7am to 3:30pm. I think we're getting Chinese food for dinner though, yum! Happy NYE everyone!
My step mom is making a clam boil! Can't wait… I can eat clams right? I mean assuming it's fully cooked? Ugh I'll be devastated if I can't. I've been thinking about it all week.
Living it up in my flannel PJ's with Chinese. My H will be working and arresting drunks. I'll kiss my cat at the stroke of midnight, and crash at 12:01.
