I was paleo before I got pregnant and am hoping to get back on it soon. I have just been eating whatever I can keep down lately and have been repulsed by meat.
Paleo Pot just put out their top 5 recipes of 2013 today -
DH and I were paleo prior to the pregnancy; however, since I could only keep down complex carbohydrates there for awhile that went out the window. I'm starting to be able to handle the idea of some meats and veggies now, so I'm trying to ease back into. I also started making paleo desserts (muffins, cookies, and even breads). This helps a lot - I was just simply too tired to deal with that before. Not to mention it gets expensive (special flours/ingredients) when I'm eating more of that type of food than usual. DH honestly has no excuse - he says he stopped to support me through my hard time
I should add - if you're on pinterest, there are a few paleo groups out there that post really good recipes almost daily. Check it out - I get my ideas for new recipes there most of the time.
Same as most - we were paleo for 2+ years and I have been eating whatever works lately. Easing back into it. DH is beyond ready to get back into it! The websites I use most commonly are above when getting creative/ needing inspiration. We often have a "typical" American meal just meat + double veggie, no starch. DH isn't into the paleo-ified things like cauli "rice" or anything. We just eat tons of veggies.
Civilized caveman is a good site, paleotable.com, nomnompaleo, and we cook from everyday paleo too. However, week 8-13 I ate what sounded good.....trying to work paleo back in this week as our crossfit gym is doing a nutrition challenge
All the aforementioned sites for paleo recipes are great! I also really like www.thefoodee.com. Tons of great recipes taken from all sorts of different paleo blogs.
Re: Any paleo moms?
I have strayed lately & can completely tell a difference. I really need to get back on it & need some recipe inspiration too.
