TTGP IF WEEKLY CHECK IN                  

This check in is meant for anyone on TTGP who has hit the 1 year mark of TTC (6 months if you’re over 35), has an infertility diagnosis, or are going through IF testing/treatment. It is meant to be a place for people to share and ask any questions who might not participate on 3T or IF who would like the company of others going through the same experiences.

If you would like to participate, please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE  with your info and I will add you on, and please feel free to post your intro. This will be posted every Monday morning, AKST. If you have any suggestions or would like something added, please feel free to post.

IVF #3 officially starts 1/1 (I start Lupron and steroids).  I still have to order the rest of my meds, which I am planning on doing Mondsay.  This cycle has really snuck up on me, I can't believe it's starting already.

QOTW:  No resolutions this year, but I am going to start walking on our treadmill when I start steroids to help curb my IVF weight gain.  It just happens to coincide with New Year's Day.  We are pretty boring for NYE and just go over to my parents since they live just a few minutes away.  Too many drunk drivers to go out.

Hi loves! I'm just hanging out in the 2ww of IUI #1. I went in Friday to have my progesterone checked & for an ultrasound. It looks like I released both eggs & my P4 was at 15 so no Prometrium for me for now. I'm having a lot more phantom symptoms than I have in the past, but I'm trying to chalk that up to having a normal progesterone level for once. Beta is this Friday, just need to figure out if I'm testing before it or not. I'm leaning towards trying to hold fmu until right after the draw & testing in the bathroom there lol.

QOTW: I don't normally make resolutions. I'll set a goal to exit 2014 healthier than I'm entering it though. We don't have much for plans yet. Most of our friends are staying in with their kids. Maybe we'll go to the river to watch the fireworks, if it's not too cold.

Went of BCP July '12, TTC since.  I need to call my RE's office to get the results from my CD3 lab work. Ultrasound was consistent with PCOS.  Nothing else to report.

QOTW: 2 parter this week; what are your New Years Resolutions/Goals? and what are your plans for New Years Eve?  I don't make New Years Resolutions because I rarely stick to them.  I did start dieting at the beginning of this month, though, and I plan to stick to it through 2014.  As for NYE, my husband's family calls it Confetti Day, so I am continuing the tradition.  I made confetti by putting Christmas wrapping paper through a shredder, and then we will toss it around and play in it like snow.  The kids have a blast, and I'll be vacuuming it up for the next 9 months.

Only update is I went for my RPL blood work now just counting down days till next meeting with RE. I want to know like right now I am not a patient person

My SO birthday is New Years day. Usually we go out some where last year we were at a wedding. This year we plan on relaxing at home, we are going to have a nice dinner lots of movies. New Years day I have a dinner planned with family at a local restaurant. This year I plan on just eating healthier and cutting out my Dunkin Donut habit though I drink decafe I want to cut it out as part of my before work routine for money savings. I plan I putting what I spend there weekly in to a separate savings account. Sadly this total if I stick to it which I feel confident that I will, will be at $1040 at the end of the year.

The only new development for us is that I scheduled our first appointment with the one and only RE in the area for the first week of March. It is actually 2 years to the day that I threw the BC away. They had appointments as soon as 1/10/13 but we made a plan to try as hard as we can on our own until the 2 year mark. It is amazing the turn around I have seen in SO this month. He has been really aware of my FW and threw it on me like woah (not that I'm complaining)!

He made a comment the other night that it wasn't that "special time of conception". What a dork!

I am entirely too hopeful this month. I should probably calm the F down!

One large follow on the right ovary on Friday. Triggered Saturday night. I'm not too hopeful. The nurse talked about upping the Clomid again and I told her I can't do Clomid again because of the side effects, so we're meeting with the RE on Jan 23 to go over a new plan.

QOTW: speaking up for myself more. I usually just do whatever people want and stretch myself to the max and I can't handle it anymore.

FX so hard for you @beckynsean11! I like your plan. I think I would want to test on beta day too.

AFM: I went in for CD4 blood work and ultrasound this morning. They wanted to double check my AFC and AMH and as long as everything looks good, I will be starting BCPs tonight to prep for IVF #1. The nurse said that my ER and ET may be at the end of January, which is sooner than I thought but I am so excited to be moving forward!

QOTW: I don't really have any resolutions. I guess I just want to do a better job of staying on track with my exercise. Maybe I'll try some new Pilates videos. I have no idea what our plans are for NYE. I'm not really that into it, but my FIL is in town and they want to do something fun so I'll go with whatever they decide to do.

My resolution is to start keeping a happiness journal. No plans for NYE.

Not too much to update. It's been almost 2 1/2 weeks since my loss and I'm still waiting for AF to return. @Spookster could you please remove me from the bfp.

Oh an I need to get motivated to go to the gym.  This is the first year that we don't have any plans.  Since my loss I just don't feel like doing much.

I went to my RE Thursday and found out all my levels were good for my cd3 testing. My FSH was 7.4 which they said was good for my age. I was suppose to do a trigger last week but of course I didn't ovulate like I normally do around cd12/13 and I was going on vacation so I'm waiting until next month. I really think the HSG this month may have thrown off my ovulation, I'm still waiting on it. I think I'm going to O on New Year's Day. So now I'm on vacation with my inlaws trying to have quiet sex in Savannah in a 200 yr old house that nothing is quiet about it.

This was our first month temping after 22 months NP, sex twice in FW (-3, -1).  I was upset yesterday because temp dip at 10dpo (CD23) and I've had a several 23/24 day cycles this year so I was concerned it was my period showing at 10 dpo.  That said, it still hasn't shown.  But I had cramps all day yesterday so I'm guessing it's right around the corner. Temp went back up slightly today, so I'll still hope for now.

We also had our first RE appointment yesterday, and boy was it overwhelming - I'm terrified of so many things - mostly a potential need for clomid and/or later treatments.  The dr did have some concerns about my short and otherwise irregular cycles.  He also suggested that we may need to look into the cyclical intercourse pain I experience post-O as a potential endo issue.  That said, it was mostly good news!  He did an ultrasound, and saw thick lining (good), no bleeding/AF starting (good), fifteen resting follies on R ovary (good) and confirmation that I O'd from left ovary this cycle (good).  They also took about ten tubes of blood, I don't understand what that is for just yet.  MH also got a take home SA kit to be done.  At the end of the U/S he made a comment that I am hanging on to with every thread of hope, referring to CD3 testing, he explained that would be the next step "at the start of your period, but hopefully it doesn't show up".

Not much has changed here. I had to get back on progesterone to start AF again, and I'm still taking 2000mg of metformin/day.

Temping didn't go very well last cycle so I am starting this month a little differently. Apparently I "mouth-breathe. lol

I still haven't gotten a referral from my OB to see an RE so I will be calling them back on the 2nd. I have a feeling the holidays got in the way.

I was sick all last week with a bad case of the flu so I think I'll be relaxing tonight, and turning in early. I don't want to feel this exhausted for my birthday tomorrow.

Happy almost 2014! It has to be a better year

I'm late responding to this... I'm 6 dpiui and miserable. I have two 7cm hemorrhagic cysts and my ovary is 8cm. All on the same side. BLAH!

Because of this, I'm taking pain meds, ordering take out and hanging on the couch for New Years. I don't usually make resolutions. I just try to be a good person, make good choices and forgive myself when/if I fail at either.

Ugh late to the party! So updates: nothing great. I still had a 2cm cyst when I went in on the 18th so we went back on bcp. I am done on the 10th so I just have to wait another week to see what my u/s says. I had an ugly cry/pity party for myself Saturday but i feel better now. I just realized I haven't ovulated since freaking June! Ridiculous I tell ya!
My new year resolution is to eat better and get a hobby I enjoy lol!

Well since this was already bumped up and I missed it this week, hai!

FX for those cycling or waiting for results, and hugs to those who need them!!  AFM, I'm pumped to be cycling again, hooray!  Went in this morning and am starting CoQ10, Lupron and Puregon (injects) and then we'll be doing our first IUI this cycle.  I never thought I'd be so excited to stab myself with needles, but the bench, over the holidays, was really shitty, I'm happy to be back in it!
