i had 3 cervical checks in a span of about 15 hours on tuesday night into wednesday morning. i am now spotting (started just when i wiped last night, but this morning it's on my pad as well). is it normal or should i be calling the OB again?
I'm pretty sure its normal, but in your position, I would probably be calling the OB. I would probably feel bad about bothering him/her on New Years Day, but I would comfort myself by remembering how much money they get for taking care of us while we're pregnant, holiday or not...
because of all the cervical checks you probably have an irritated cervix, which can and will cause spotting and light bleeding. as long as it doesn't soak a pad in an hour, is combined with cramps or any labor signs... you're OK.
if you get worried about it, call your OB... but then again it might result in another check which will cause more bleeding... odd catch 22 on that one...
try to get some rest, put your feet up and keep cookin' that baby! lol

Take a deep breath, May! It is perfectly normal to spot after an internal exam and even more normal to spot after that many internal exams. Call your OB and check with him/her if for no other reason than to let him/her know and make the decision about what to do.
Re: please tell me this is normal
It's pretty normal after an internal to spot, but if you're nervous I'd call the dr.?
