Pre pregnancy I was very regular. The past couple of weeks I have been getting a little backed up, which I know is normal. The past week or so I could go like every other day, but something changed today. On a plane coming home I had to use the bathroom twice for diarrhea and once again on the drive home. I'm freaking myself out because even though we saw a 120 BPM heartbeat 2 weeks ago, I know it doesn't mean we are in the clear. Also, many women have been dropping out of my bmb the past few days and it's heightening my pgal brain. Some of these women had seen a hb as well and I am so sorry for their losses.
Sorry, long intro to get to the question: can diarrhea be a sign of an impending mc?
Poop gets weird during pregnancy. I've had diarrhea, constipation and everything inbetween since getting pregnant. So, with my experience, I'd have to say no, poop is not a fortune teller. Hope you feel better soon.
I second @mandiroo. I had an awful evening in the bathroom with stomach cramps and abnormal output around 11w which I remember happening with my m/c too- I went to a bad PgAL place, but I'm 26w and getting kicked in the bladder at the moment.
I have the same worry based on unfortunate experience, but in my case diarrhea just hit due to a stomach bug and I'm hoping that's all. I have heard that bowels can be all over the place in a successful pregnancy.
Good luck tomorrow! But, I agree with the other ladies that poo (and really your whole body) gets funky even very early in pregnancy. I had a week where I went every day and another where I didn't go at all and then a few days with diarrhea. It's all funky!! Ugh!

Convinced it was a boy and missing him every day!

Good luck tomorrow! I agree with everyone else, I've had so many different types of BMs with this pregnancy, and yet the pregnancy still seems to be going well.
Omg. "morning sickness of the booty" That's just perfect Qfrump.
I have had ever changing bowls this whole pregnancy (25w now). I was always regular but that went out the window right from the beginning. I think my "performance" mainly has to do with what I eat.
I second Qfrump - had the same issue. Would get nauseated bc my stomach was empty, think I had to get sick aaaaand reverse. No fun either way. But I also had diarrhea and poopy issues during the week I mc'ed too so I totally get where you are coming from. It's impossible not to go there but like PP said - the booty is not a fortune teller. Stay hydrated most importantly, and take it easy and good luck at the appt tomorrow. For sure mention the issues to the doc though and they can recommend some things that may help! Fx!

I'm 18 weeks, but this has been on my mind, too. However, like PPs have mentioned, I think mine has more to do with eating shitty (pun intended!) and the ol' IBS acting up. That being said, I just try to drink a lot of liquids, clean up my diet (try the BRAT diet), and exercise. Hope you feel better soon!
Oh gosh, butt issues suck. Like @Qfrump I had "morning sickness of the booty". I honestly sometimes didn't know if I had to throw up or go #2. It was the worst feeling. With my loss I was severely constipated, so total opposite. My OB suggested I stop taking my prenatal along with the fish oil supplement I was taking, as apparently fish oil can cause loose stools. I did both and it made a huge difference. (in the chance there is a vitamin or supplement you are taking that is adding to it).
Good luck at your appointment tomorrow and I'll be thinking and sending you positive thoughts!!
