NBR... Vacuums!

I'm looking for a vacuum, don't want to spend a lot of money on it. I just need something that I can use on wood floor and area rugs. We leave near the beach so sand is always an issue and I can't keep up with the dust! We also have two Boston Terriers - not terrible shredders, but let's face it, there's dog hair around also.

We LOVE our Dyson.

Not sure about the best with sandy areas though...

I live near the beach and have a lab that sheds a lot.  We've had a Dyson for 9 years and LOVE it.

We have a shark...it works great !

our dyson works well with hair and sand. we have really dard hard wood floors now and cant use it though because it scratches the finish on the floors. i think if it was brand new it wouldnt scratch but ours does

The shark professional 3 in 1 rotator. It actually was rated higher than the Dyson and is half the price. I love it.

My parents gave us a Dyson Animal a few years ago and we love it. However, I have heard that the Shark is rated higher and costs less. My SIL just got one for Christmas and she absolutely loves it (they have two kids who are constantly bringing dirt in from outside, two cats, and a husky).
