Facebook blows!

I just got flamed on FB for posting what I was making for dinner - Zuppa Toscana with a pear and blue cheese salad. Some girl commented saying "hate to ruin your dinner but pregnant women are not supposed to eat blue cheese or any unpasteurized cheese." I said "thank you but I think I'll be ok, I also ate cold cuts today, OMG!! So sue me! Should I also announce that I've had a glass of wine?! Who died and made you the godmother of child rearing?

My first pregnancy, I obeyed all the rules, but I've seriously relaxed this time. My OB said I'd be hard pressed to find unpasteurized cheese in the US. I've had some cold cuts too. Gasp!

Same as PP. I am more lax this pregnancy. I have had ham & cheese sandwiches almost every day this week for lunch.

My OB practically rolls his eyes at almost all of those "precautions". He is okay with just about anything in moderation.

The funny thing is this girl just had a baby and she has a 3 year old. I just wanted to say "sure you were by the book!"

Hate people I had some post so something because I had a turkey dog....seriously? People should be more concerned with what they put in their body and not mine.

Why are there so many people out there like this!!? So brutal!

I've reduced my facebook friends by about 300 this last year for many reasons similar to this.

So have I, I've also thought about deleting but it's how I keep in touch with my mom and sisters and send them pics and updates of the baby

I don't post on Facebook mostly because I don't want to hear what people have to say about my personal life, nor hear their whining. But I do have to say your dinner spud fabalous. And I'm holding out for a glass of whine until my birthday. I can have a treat for my birthday right?

These type of things are exactly why I never post hardly anything on FB....I hate dealing w/people's judgments/comments...drives me nuts.  However, don't let anyone make you feel bad for what you choose to do through your pregnancy.  As long as your OB GYN or midwife is ok, ignore everyone else.

I can't stand Facebook now that I'm pregnant. The unsolicited advice is unreal. It's even spilled over to things I pin on Pinterest.

What kills me is that it's some girl who got knocked up right out of high school by mistake.

No offense to her, or anyone else, but I'm 28, married, college degree & career. I did this on purpose. I think we will be just fine.

I've had lunch or deli meats about once every other week since I've been pg, I had a small tuna finger sandwich the other day, and I sampled a couple sips of a new bottle of wine my sister opened on Christmas. No biggies.

I got off of Facebook in May and it was one of the Top Three Best Decisions Ever.

This is why I haven't announced on fb that I'm pregnant. I was planning to after the 20 week scan but this makes me want to even less. I wish I could respond in gif on fb the way we do here.

I ate like half a package of salami in a week before I realized the worst part is that I ate half a package of salami, not the possible bacteria on it.

With my first pregnancy, I got off FB because drama + hormones = tears.

Sometimes I wish I would with this one, as my SIL (who is also pregnant) is annoying the piss out of me with her AWing and then subsequent whining how no one wants to help her (done off FB but I'm aware of it through various means--ie other SILs, MIL, and DH).

PS I hope that blue cheese was delicious.

People down have a filter when you are pregnant! I so want to get off Facebook, but have too many friends overseas to do it. However, I have definitely drastically reduced my friends list. Pretty much good friends and family only. I feel bad denying all of the random friend requests for people I went to high school, but it's also to protect my babies too, since I do post pics of them occasionally.

Delete button! Haha slowly because of stuff like that I've been weeding out my friends list. Though because I'm a scenty consultant, and clients feel the need to friend request me I have to pay attention to that. Also because of that I have to watch what I say and stay politically correct on everything.

I swear, people really effing suck sometimes.  It took me quite a while to announce that I'm pregnant on Facebook because I didn't want to get annoyed with all of the unsolicited advice just yet.  I'm not one to share every single part of my life on there and some people actually get offended if something about my life isn't posted.  It was amazing how when I announced my pregnancy to a few friends and family, their very first question was, "is it on Facebook?!"  First of all, why the hell is that your first question, and second, hell no it's not on Facebook.  Yes, it was going to end up there eventually, but I swear you have people that as soon as something happens they have to run and post on Facebook.  I'm also not announcing the sex when we find out next week.  Everyone's just going to have to wait dammit!

I had smoked fish, unpasteurized diary, fried eggs with soft yolk, few gulps of wine, prosciutto. I felt kind of guilty for eating that but I wanted that so much.. I was almost drooling. Hope I didn`t hurt my baby.

I eat so much sushi I'm sure my kid has gills. But other than that he's pretty much normal. I think.
