Letrozole/Femara

I start Femara late next week (being used with an hCG trigger shot). My RE told me that there 'aren't really' any side effects (really??). However, I've heard all kind of experiences. Mostly, I'm concerned because I react very sensitively to hormonal medications; for example, my IUD was copper  - I could never use hormonal b/c because it made me, literally, a crazy bitch. I'm afraid of that happening again. I've also heard/read it causes painful ovulation - is that true?

 I know some of you ladies have taken Femara or Letrozole. What were your experiences? What can I expect? I need to be mentally prepared, even if in the end I don't have any side effects.

Have no experience hun but hoping you won't need it. I think I do know what you mean, I did the clomid this cycle and my us and ovaries were so sore( the day I got + on opk) until I O'd couldn't hardly bd...lol but it only lasted about one day...good luck fx for you!

I picked it up last night. The pharmacist told me that I might get hot flashes and night sweats since the medication mocks menopause. Yikes! Not looking forward to that. In good news files, I only paid $6 for my medications - at Costco (with no insurance coverage)! Awesome!
