Is this weird?

At my appointment today, my doctor brought up the glucose test I'll be taking in the next 3-4 weeks or so. She told me it's a 2 hour test. If the results come back too high, I'll be sent to a nutritionist. 

Last time around (different OB), I did a 1 hour test and if that one failed, I would have had to do the 3 hour test. I think most people do it that way. Does anyone else's ob do a 2 hour test?

I also had the 1-hour test (which I must have failed) and then the 3-hour test last time. I am scheduled for the 1-hour test next appt, and then it will be the 3-hour one if I fail. I've never heard of the 2-hour test either. Maybe it eliminates the need for doing both?

I would take one 2 hour test over having to do the 1 hour then then 3 hour! Anything to avoid drinking that twice! I failed my one hour and went on to fail my 3 hour :-( I get a 2 hour 6 weeks after this kiddo arrives.

I think a lot of clinics are switching to the 2 hour bc of the high false positive rates on the 1 hour. Last year on PAIF lots of girls were getting it. GL!

My sister did the 2 hour one.  Failed and was sent to a nutritionist.  There reasoning was like pp said.... the 1 hour was showing lots of false positives.  If you fail the 2 hour, there is no question.
