I asked for a FitBit for Christmas and didn't get one, but I did get a large Amazon gift card that I could use to purchase a device.
I liked the Flex, but then a feature in Cooking Light this month mentioned the Jawbone UP. Their staffers used and like that device, and the app seems much more detailed. I like that you can link it with My Fitness Pal, which I have used in the past. I also like the alarm feature.
I start training for a half marathon in January (my first serious training since having DD!) and I'd like to cut calories, track my steps and sleep, and generally lose this last 10-15 pounds of baby weight.
Does anyone have one or both of these devices? What are your experiences?
Re: Does anyone have a FitBit Flex or Jawbone UP?
My DH has the FitBit and I know that he researched the differences and picked the FitBit, but I'm really no help because I can't remember why
He likes it, though.
I'm glad to hear it syncs with MyFitnessPal. I have taken a three-month break from calorie counting because DH thought it was having a negative affect on my being, but I want to start up again in January when I start training for my next race. I'd like to sync my activity, sleep, and calorie stats because I think that will give me the "big picture."
Considering the FitBit Flex is $100 and I have an Amazon gift card for exactly that much, I may go with that one!
Is it a social app where I could "friend" you? If so, I will!
