no movement in a day UPDATE

Haven't felt baby since Xmas eve. I have an anterior placenta so I only recently started feeling movement (within past 2 weeks) & when I did it was pretty light.. but, enjoyed the reassurance when I could finally feel her! Christmas day she was quiet though I was so busy running around. Stayed more in tune yesterday & nothing.

I am worried but when should I truly worry? Also I am on vacation until 1/4. I just had an ultrasound 1 week ago today & it was perfect. Saw her moving on screen though I couldn't feel it with this AP. I am 24w5d

If you feel NO movement, then I would get it checked out.

I'm 26w4d I also have a anterior placenta. I've noticed a decrease in movement the last day or so. I'm not getting too concerned, I just heard her on the doppler Tuesday and she's most defiantly there. She could very well just kicking the back of me. If you go 48 hours more without any movement at all i'd call your dr. It's rare that anything bad happens at this stage of the game. Just breathe (((HUGS)))

Can you drink an ice cold glass or water or oj and lay down for 20 minutes? I have an anterior placenta and can usually feel him if I lay down and very still for a while

I will try the ice cold water.....can't have juice (diabetes,). I also heard music so I may put my ear buds of my iPod on to try & get her to move.

My SIL father is an on/gyn & a fetal care specialist. He spent Xmas with us so I picked his brain. He too said movement is subjective until around 28w too

I'm a worrier, but OB said not to be concerned about regularity of movement until 28 weeks. Baby is small enough to face your back and kick and for you to still not feel anything.

Give your OB a call for peace if mind but they'll probably say the same thing.

I went almost 2 days a few weeks ago without feeling a thing after a few weeks of pretty consistent movement. I had been super busy at work and running around and I think that had something to do with it. Towards the end of day 2 with no movement I was in total panic mode but my DH made me have a nap and relax and then sure enough the kicks came back while I was still and relaxed.
I totally freaked for a bit though!!

Movement isn't an indicator of baby's health until third trimester! Try not to stress it - usually some Perrier with juice and laying down can help!

I wouldn't worry until week 28.  I have days where there is no movement and then days where there is a ton of movement.  It just seems to be hit or miss so far.

I'm 24 1/2 weeks with anterior placenta, some days I feel him a lot, some times I'll go 2 days or so with nothing. I think given the anterior placenta, how far along you are and the fact you had a great u/s that you're fine.

I would actually call if I truly felt absolutely no movement. Others have said don't worry until 28 weeks but my doctor told me by 24 weeks to call if I was worried about movement. That said, I bet your baby is just in a snug spot or facing your back.

UPDATE:  Movement felt!!! Silly but I downloaded the doppler app on the iphone, I was trying to pickup her heartbeat. I was pushing the phone in my belly to try and pick it up and she kicked back on the phone causing it to move! She moved around a bit more after that...phew
