Feeling depressed?

Is anyone struggling during their pregnancy? I am having a hard time with the weight gain. I know weight gain is a part of pregnancy, but in my mind I just sort of pictured i'd look cute with this bump and didn't really think about everything else getting so big. I'm 14.5 weeks and my thighs and butt are growing very quickly. I'm not quite sure how because I haven't changed much from pre-pregnancy (still eating well, exercise daily, etc). I keep worrying that the weight gain will never slow down. There isn't much I can do other than continue to eat healthy foods and exercise so I know i just have to deal with it, but it is just more challenging than I expected.
I'm also thinking a lot about the future- expenses, relationships, in-laws and how that will all change with a baby...it feels overwhelming!
I am overjoyed about the baby and this is ALL worth it, so I hope no one misunderstands me.

  • I totally understand. Keep your eyes on the price. I've found that treating myself to something everyday even if it's small helps a lot

  • I remember that anxiety when I was pregnant with DS. It will all work itself out. I gained 50 lbs with DS and it took me over two years to lose the weight.

You will see the baby and realize he/she is worth it all. And do NOT be afraid to stand up for what YOU think is right for your LO. Just remember to trust your mama instincts.
