I looked at DH the other day and told him if he wanted sex, he would have to do all the work. Now i just sit back and relax, haha. But no progress on the baby front. We do about 2 x a week also.

We aim for 2X a week also but not really for the starting labor but rather because we know we won't be able to do it for a while here soon.

We're not doing it specifically to help things along, although I do hope it helps! I think we're about 1x/week.

Omg, so funny you posted this now. SO woke up this morning and said he has a present for me... We hadn't done it in weeks and if I go into labor tonight then you know who I can give credit to.

Yep! Not really to move things along although LO would be fine if she were born at this point.

We did make an important discovery last week- DH can multi task: he can rub my shoulders at the same time! We're probably at 2x a week now.

I have no idea why I click on these posts! We haven't been able to have sex since I was 19 weeks pregnant for placenta previa, then my water breaking, and now my c/s. It will be 21 weeks or so total that we will be going with out. Five to go!

DH said last night he wanted to have sex (well not so nicely) and I genuinely didn't want to for the first time.

As eager as I am to meet this little girl and never have to be pregnant ever again, I do not want to take my chances with a baby born before at least 37 weeks. (In fact, we'll probably hold off on doing anything until I'm 39 weeks.)

It's one thing if she arrives early of her own doing, but I certainly don't want to contribute to (or encourage) it.

We were 2 times yesterday. Not trying to move things along quite yet - but at last check nothing was happening. We have been having fairly consistent sex throughout 2-3 times a week so my thought is that it only works when your cervix is ripe for ripening.

This exactly. Since dtd about a month ago brought on painful contractions, I said we weren't doing that again until a least 37 weeks. Well Friday afternoon we had st, followed by painful contractions, followed by DD being born at 37w 6d. She is perfectly developed and healthy but Beware people!! It did the trick for me!

We're not trying to move things along (yet) but we've never really stopped having sex so we're still having it 2-4 (or more) times a week. Of course, if it speeds things up in the last 2 weeks, I won't be complaining. (Again, ticker is wrong, I'm 37 weeks today).

At our appointment Monday my dr said to my husband "enter at your own risk" since I'm apparently in the early stages of labor. He said to be safe we could hold off until about 36 1/2 weeks because there's a decent chance sex will bring on labor. DH is up to see what happens, but I'm personally a little freaked. But ST has been erratic since BFP just bc I've been so sick, tired, and uncomfortable.

Ugh super jealous of u ladies! My libido is completely shot. I keep DH happy other ways but sex even though it isn't super uncomfortable just seems like too much work me for me. The only position that has been working is me on top so I have to do all the work lol.
DH does want to give it a go this weekend. I'll be 39 weeks so ready to go any minute.

Starting around 38 weeks when I was pg with DS2 we started having sex every other day to try to soften my cervix and get things moving. Honestly I don't know that it helped, but we will probably try something similar this time around if I can get the energy up for it.

I have no libido at all and haven't for this whole pregnancy. We had sex on Saturday for the first time in almost a month and I lost my mucus plug on Sunday night. Not sure if it was just coincidence since I'm 39w but starting today, we're doing it everyday just in case it helps. It can't hurt at this point. It's a bummer that I feel like I'm just going through the motions but DH is at the point where he's thrilled to be getting any.

I haven't noticed any contractions after sexy time - we generally average once or twice a week. Dtd today - and yeah, not quite as enjoyable as it was before this belly got large, but not bad either. I figure in a couple weeks we can start doing it more and see if it does anything for progress but eh?

It hasn't helped for me, but we've really slacked on the sexy time lately. We DTD a few days ago, but here I am, still pregnant, which is probably a good thing. I'm most likely going to need a c/s, and probably don't need to go into labor on my own.

I will say that it did work for a friend of mine with her 1st. They DTD like 2-3 times one day, she was in labor the next.

It's been four weeks now since we last had ST. I'm so flustered. All the time. For those having it 2x/wk still. Can your DHs talk to my DH? He's petrified to even touch me right now.

I was 1cm dilated with a softening cervix last week at my appointment, so DH and I are going to be giving it the old college try a couple times a week to see if it helps. DS1 showed up 37w2d on his own and was just fine, so if this one decides to show up early (already measuring bigger than DS1 ever did in the womb), I won't complain. If not, at least we'll be getting some sexy time in before it's a no no for 6 weeks.

We were talking about giving it a try. I'm 38w5d and we had been planning for about a week to do it(it's been about two weeks since last time), but we've both been sick. Finally tonight it was going to happen, but I've been having really bad cramps the past couple of hours.

As of my last appointment I was soft and barely a fingertip. FI is anxious to get this show on the road and has been encouraging all the old wives tales, but I'm in no hurry.

We DTD for the first time in a month last night (a Christmas present for DH, who had been trying for a week to get some action). It was so uncomfortable. We're done unless I go past due.

I have to do it standing up (in the shower). Sounds weird, but it's the only way it doesn't hurt! But I make FI pull out because I still have 5 days of work and don't wanna jinx it haha.

We do it like once a week. I get a little worried every morning after because LAST time I went into labor it was after a night my ex and I had done it twice! But I think when I get to 39 weeks (one week from today!) I'm going to start initiating it every night, if I can. If I have all my shit squared away for work, I am A-OKAY with her coming after Jan 2. :-bd

This. It's been a while...a long while. I'm really looking forward to getting back that intimacy after LO is here (I am determined we will make time for this!) but I honestly have no interest in doing it right now.

DH and I stopped having sex after my first cervical check... I decided I did NOT want anything else going near my cervix ever again till this baby was out! 

I made up for it though and bought him "101 Nights of Great Sex" for christmas... I believe that was @bethughknee's suggestion?  If it was...thanks! He loved it!

I bought the 101 Nights of Great Sex for DH for Christmas too! And in about 3 months, when I have recovered, we will use it! Can't wait!

"Sexy time", what is that? There hasn't been much of that here. The last time we tried it was almost 2 months ago and it hurt so bad in all but one position that we tried (which did nothing for us) that we finally had to stop.  I want to try again but don't want to go through that again.
