Christmas reveals?

I think there might be a few of us revealing to our family the next few days. So I thought I'd start a general thread for it for people to share stories.

I had my mom convinced that my ultrasound was the 27th, but it was actually the 20th. It's the first time I've successfully lied to my mother, as she had no idea we had it already. We had her open a onesie from the Gap last night that said "Cheeky Fella" on the back along with the ultrasound photo. She had no idea it was coming. I was afraid she would show some gender disappointment on her face, but she was didn't at all. Immediate tears, lost for words, and so very happy. My step-daughter got it on video for us. It was pretty awesome.

I told my Dad last night! We went with a box with either a tie or pearls in it. They know the "theme". He opened it and got a tie! He immediately seemed misty eyed and excited. I tell my Mom today. I'm a little worried she'll have gender disappointment because she already bought girl clothing insisting I was having one. So, I'll vent later if she's upset

I hadn't even considered that parents might have gender disappointment. I know it's really "sex" disappointment but that sounds way worse.

I don't think most of my family members have expressed their preference to me. That would make it hard for me to share. Good luck ladies! Glad you all are finding out today! Way to stick with the plan.

I found out that my husband caught the little slip of a pronoun by the nurse at our a/s but the rest of the family was surprised. He is already the center of attention for all his new aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I was worried my sister would rub it in everyone's face that she called it first lol but she didn't.

I bought a cake to have for dessert after Christmas dinner since my whole family was coming over. There was a whole lot of screaming! Haha.

Mine doesn't really count as a gender reveal because DH, myself, and my mom all knew. I got to tell my 4 year old niece though and let her tell my brother, sil, and nephew. I already have 5 nephews and only 1 niece. She wanted me to have a girl so badly. When I whispered girl, she ran to tell the rest of the family. She was so excited and told her mom - I knew it was going to be a girl
