Where to buy Follistim and Ovidrel?

As soon as the insurance confirms coverage, my ER in Boston IVF is putting orders for me for Follistim 900 and Ovidrel, i live in Massachusetts.

I called the 2 pharmacies that they recommend and they gave me the prices with no insurance coverage. I was in shock...

$780- $1439 For each vial of Follistim
$79.50 - $135 for each shot of Ovidrel

Again these prices are with no insurance coverage. Does anyone knows how much are these meds usually with insurance and also, any other pharmacy online that has really good prices?

thanks so much and Happy Holidays!

Re: Where to buy Follistim and Ovidrel?

  • For people without insurance my RE usually goes through Mandells Pharmacy https://www.mandellspharmacy.com/. Other people have gone through Freedom Fertility. My meds came from CVS Caremark because that was who I was required to use for my insurance.

  • If you have good insurance, you may be lucky. I only paid $150 for all if my meds and my dr. ordered enough for 9 cycles. There were 12 total boxes of follistim plus everything else.

I have heard about IVFPharmacy.com and also IVFMeds in the UK. the first one has much lower prices, I will still  check out Mandells and Prosperity.

    Happy Holidays and thanks again!
  • I'm in Illinois and went through Healy Pharmacy out of Naperville.

I can't remember exacts. Just know that I ended up paying $380.79 for both out of pocket with Humana HMO Insurance. The total without insurance was... I want to say around $1,600ish.

  • I used the Walgreen Specialty Pharmacy out of Frisco, TX (mail order)
Follistim is $524 for a 600 unit vial

I also used a program called New Life Fertility Pharmacy Care Card which saves you $100 for every $1,000 you spend. I paid $3,600 for my meds for my first cycle, completely out of pocket.

Getting ready to order meds for second cycle and Walgreens just told me about a program called Design RX First Steps which is based on income and gives you a % off your meds.

    Good luck!
