My family eats peas @ dinner...

MIL Made us each eat 12 grapes... (they had seeds too EWW)

I saw below that Weelas said to put your wallet in the window.

    Isn't the 12 grapes a spanish tradition?  I think I listed all of my crazy southern nyd traditions below ( collards and black eyed peas)

    it very well may be, MIL is from cuba. I heard of the black eyed peas.  I guess my family just rather have regular peas :)

    If you consider salami, ritz, spray cheese, regular cheese and sparkling cider traditions then my family had it down. lmao, that sounds so lame and yet it's not NYE to me without them now.

    Herring.  I seriously wish I was allergic to fish like DH.  It makes my stomach so yucky.  I felt sick before I even ate it.
